Timelord race

As mentioned, the face changing would probably reset much more than you'd like.

One possibility would be to have a set of pre-defined faces that can be applied to your savegame. I don't think this could be done while in-game but you could exit the game and modify the savegame by applying a new "face" to it. It would probably have to be mandated that you cannot use a custom race, hair or eyes when doing this though.

Well it's probably doable, however it wouldn't be able to do it when you actually die, more likley when you are on say 1 health, but anyway, I doubt someone will be able to make the light flash, as that'd be a whole new thing.

I see it would work. 1 health, restore health, fire spell onself to give the bursting into flame effect, random generated face, restore skills. I'm saying the skill restore because im assuming the easiest way to change the face would be to use the race changed and edit the face, which in turn loses you skills.

How about a giant convalescence spell, or fire, or lightning, as opposed to light flashing.

thats good too, so when you reach 1 health this huge convalsence (sorry cant spell) goes off with bits of lightning going everywhere and when it clears you are a new person, fully healed.

Hey that face pack is amazing, but is it really needed? I think all values in the face gen go from -1000 to 1000, that's an easy random, the problem is as you said writtin into the savegame while in-game. But the game engine does it, doesn't? So it could be done some way. I think I've read somewhere Pluggy allows ini and save-game altering from in game but my knowledge at this is null. I'll check how this values are stored in the save-game file, meanwhile if someone could tell how to write there that'd be amazing, I can handle all the other side-effects like tracking skills and stats and restoring them afterwards, that's not the problem.

@ kruddpm: hey have you already made the race? That'd be necessary to give them the spell, and what does the "sheogorath's protection" spell does? Could you list all what it's suposed to do this power, just in case that face trick isn't doable?

You could create your own .ini files with it indeed. I'm planning to it with the oblivion achievements, it doesn't look too difficult at a first glance. The examples are good.

it is a vanilla SI spell which the player casts when it looks like they are in danger of being killed and so after casting the spell, the player is transported back to sheogoraths palace and is healed there.

ps i also know of a mod called the necro guild which has an amazing feature so that when your health gets to around 10 you become ghost form and are teleported to some kind of underworld.

I've been doing some research with no success until now. Pluggy is unable to write into savegames and there's no ini parameter that could affect facial settings, as far as I know this is stored entirely into the savegame, so sincerely I see no way to make the "regeneration" process as described. That doesn't mean it can't be done, possibly I'm missing something as I'm still green at Oblivion scripting, simply it means I can't do it with my current knowledge, so if you want to apply some other drawback to the "regeneration" spell not involving changes in race/face that's ok I could write it quickly, otherwise better play some of that mods like this one that turns you into a ghost, as it seems more complete than simply healing you completely when you're at very low health.

well rather than a whole race could it just be a spell like sheogoraths protection?
