Kind of new to these forum and im really looking forward to downloading mod from here or even create mods if i can spare the time lol.

Like some above said, the official DA forum has really been left 4 dead.

To reply to swat, modding really help game last a long time. Several games have been keept alive via fanmade content like NWN(said previously), morrowind, etc and modding tools just make thing easier. I could also say warcraft3 TFT. Its not an RPG but its one of the best exemple of how a game survive trough fanmade content like DOTA.

No one knows for sure if it will last a long time or not, but this game does start with a lot in favor of doing just that. It had a toolkit out even before the game. It has a promise of lots of DLC. Bioware is a good company with a long record of success and a big gamer following. The game looks awesome and has a rich background ripe for exploitation by modders. Of course having a Nexus site is a nice little bonus too. That all adds up to a great deal of potential.

Ok forgive me for this but I did not want to start a new thread just to ask a question. You guys piqued my curiosity so I went to the Bioware site and looked at the games they have. I do have KOTOR and KOTOR 2 which I think are really fun. I also looked at the NWN stuff but I could not find NWN2 did I miss something on their site? Or is one of these "Hordes of the Underdark/Shadows of Undrentide" considered NWN2 or just add-on's to NWN? So not wanting to get off topic or hijack this thread please reply in a PM.

Back on topic I think that you are all right in assuming that this game will be big and last a long time I guess I was just confused because it seems like the vanilla game is shorter than both Oblivion or Fallout 3. I do not know where I get my skewed sense of longevity from however, it just seems if the game takes forever to complete without mods then it would seem it has more worth for people to make mods for it. I hope that makes sense, it sort of did in my head   o_O

NWN2 and it's expansions were done by Obsidian and published by Atari. As the the length of DA, you could easily rush though in under 40 hours, however if you want to do all the side quests and stuff it will take a lot longer.

I dont see any difference of this forum to others here.

Its fine though, albeit the endless number of subforums is a bit of an overkill. Meh, whatever.

I dont care about mods in this part of the game I'm in. Maybe I will, maybe I wont.

I dont know if I will create mods ... and if I create any, its also not sure if I will produce anything worth publishing.
