tony007
Really, i don't play as girls in games because...well, guys are more fit to wield a sword, no offense. But i really want to see huge plate armor with awesome-looking, buff shoulders like the plate armor in Dragon Age Origins (if you play the game you should know). I just want some shiny, big, awesome (knight-like) armor. After almost a year of not playing Oblivion, i've seen armor mods take a turn for the "sexy" not the "strong and awesome." I really want to have armor for males that make them look overpowering and shiny (not like dark, shadowy armor, not that's bad. I've seen this alot for male armor). Have there been such armors made since my absence till now?
thePhilanthropy
Dude, chill! You could have asked that question without bitching and moaning about something you could easily have ingored. I don't use any of the "sexy" stuff either, but I don't go around being an ass about it. Those modders often put a lot of effort into their work. Sharing a mod with the world is always voluntary. You should be grateful that you are allowed to use any mods at all. For free. To answer your question. How about a tag-search with "New Models" & "Armor - Males"? I'm sure you can find something. how about these:http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10505http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7690http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8440 (btw, since when are women not "strong and awesome" anymore? I must have missed something...)

Have there been such armors made since my absence till now? It's a common complaint, and it's been voiced many times before, and has always been. The point is that people make what they want, and are just kind enough to bother sharing it with the rest of us. If you don't like it, don't download it, don't use it. Simple enough really. If it really bothers you that much, learn to make armors and spend the numerous hours it takes to get them looking right and in game. If it looks like there are more sexy armors these days, it's because most of the people making armor mods have left for other games or been chased away by ungrateful people like you. No offense, but it had to be said. There are still some good non-sexy armors out there, but yeah, they aren't that common.

Jenrai
Eck. Chill man. Actually, if you're talking 'historically' about guys being more apt at weilding swords, that generally tends to be a slight falsification. Swordsmen/women who overtly relied on power were frequently undone by those with finess, and whilst men are usually stronger than women (thats not a sexist statement, merely a biological fact) women and men are oft equal in terms of poise, balance and finess. In many cases it wouldn't be unfair to say that women have more. The main reason we believe that men make better warriors is simply down to the fact that in most cultures its long been thought of inappropriate for a woman to be a warrior. Hell, even todays 'civilised' armed forces are still making a real ass up of putting that one right. Back on topic, one of our fellow posters has just started a lovely little list for people seeking the less sexy armours, probably in response to your post, which can be found here. Its not a complete list as he explains, just the bare bones of it. If you look I'm sure you'll find some good ones in here, and theres plenty more to be had if you scour the uploaded mods. And if you find good ones, update the list... instead of moaning about things that people invest a whole lotta time and effort in and then give your ungreatful ass for free. ;) Jen

Hardly, if you are talking historically without the ( '' ) strength and stamina won the battles, not balance and finess, you are confusing medieval with 18th cent sword fighting wich was not the rule in war, medieval warriors needed to last long time wielding their swords in heavy armor (yes, chain mail is heavy too).the first in getting tired, the one who died.its a biologycal fact that men develop muscle easily than women....they can be as good or better than men wielding a sword, but in war that never mattered. now, on the topic: some good heavy armors: morrigan, in Ivellon , Warcry has many, knightly armory, pure steel armor,,,,
