darkus37
Hi, just read this at gamespot http://www.gamespot.com/news/6240892.html?...adlines;title;2 . Basically, it's called Return to Ostager and your reward will be Cailin's armor and weapons as well as a deeper understanding of him. Anyone else hope that there will be a DLC that gives you a griffon and helps you return griffons from extinction?
Monolithic0117
There's already a topic on this. And no, I don't expect any developments to be made on the griffins any time soon. They became extinct long ago.
darkus37
Here's the thing: 1) I haven't seen this anywhere else on the site, although I will admit I only had a cursory look at the topics 2) Unless bioware pulls a fallout 3 where they hit you over the head with the commonwealth references and the don't make a dlc of it, I'm pretty sure we should have some sort of dlc about griffins because they are mentioned practically every time the wardens are spoken of. I base this on the fact that the other dlcs have some root in the main campaign, i.e. stone prisoner is throughout Orzammer, and Warden's Keep is about how the wardens were expelled and their numerous fortresses which is mentioned practically from the beginning of the game. Vaard
the griffons are just part of the legend and mythos of the wardens the are menat to represent a time when the wardens were held in higher esteem....... i also dont see how thye would be figuired into the game....... and the amount of design and code needed to implement woudl be insane, i would imagine........ Crux2
Gryphons are connected with grey wradens like the black city is connected to the fade. In the latter case it's always talked of as being always in sight but never within reach while I seem to remember from somewhere that the gryphons have all died out. It is certainly not impossible that either could be included in DLC or future games but it doesnt seem remotely likely at this point considering that the developers have already made a deliberate point of putting them 'out of reach' so to speak. Stratified
Any speculations on the exact release date? I'm guessing this week, before the 25th. @above: what egg? Where?

TGBlank
Perhaps he's confusing the egg that was amongst hatched dragon eggs in the dragon cave with the drakes around them and the dragon boss on the top and the dragon cultists guarding the place with a gryphon egg?. I mean, it's not like there's anything around it suggesting it's not a gryphon egg.
