cheatinjory32
Intel Celeron D 2.66GHz768MB PC-2700 MemoryATI Radeon 9800SE 128mb/256bit At what setting do you think this pc would play oblivion?
Dark0ne
Hmm, I think you're looking at minimum settings there. The Celeron processor is rather dated now, you could do with atleast 1GB of memory and the 9800 lacks a few of the newer feature capabilities. cheatinjory32
I know that celeron arent much for gaming but this a new celeron D with 533MHz FSB rather than the old 400Mhz and 256k L2 Cache rather than 128K L2 Cache. here's and article on celeron d vs celeron http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/displ...eleron-d_9.html As for the videocard, do you think that the 6600 standard better suite the game? Switch
If you have a PCI-E slot I would recommend getting one of ATi's mid-range/high-range PCI-E cards, if you can afford it. As Dark0ne says, that card is going to hold you back quite badly. As for AGP cards, if by 6600 you mean the GeForce 6600GT, I wouldn't suggest it. The GT chips seem to have a habit of overheating sometimes. I recently got an XFX Extreme Edition GeForce 7800GS (available on overclockers.com)... which so far is performing very well. cheatinjory32
Thanks but i dont have the money for that, i was thinking along the lines of $80. When i said 6600 i meant the 6600 standard. Dont expect for the amount i am willing to spend, just 800X600 Medium Details. Do you think that i can get that the the 9800? I Only have AGP
Switch
Think more minimum. Maybe 1024x768 if you're lucky. I would think mid graphics could get quite laggy with those specs. Also you probably won't have support for shaders and the more spiffy graphical features. $80 won't get you anything better than your current card, methinks. ^^; Ah well. It's the gameplay that matters in the end!
orbatos
Better than any speculation this forum thread will tell you exactly what you want to know: http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=255417
Switch
Yeah, except this thread is about 3 months old now, and everyone knows where to find spec recommendations. Please be sure to check the date of the thread you're posting in before you post to avoid necromancy (see the rules on that one). Thanks. ^^
