I suggest getting a new card, whatever you can afford that's on the list. Oh, if you can't get a new card then be sure to stick around on this forum and I'll tell you all about Oblivion. Just kidding.
Dark0ne
Aceface is right. That card is very old now; I think I had a Ti 4200 (which is above/newer than your card) when I was in year 10 at school, so that's about 6 years ago!
Dilvish
Yah. The GeForce3 Ti 200 came out at the end of 2001. It's DirectX 8.0 SM 1.0 and: It won't run Oblivion.
edstamos1
the Geforce Ti 200 is an AGP 4x card, probably based on the older AGP 2.0 standard. Although an AGP 8x (AGP 3.0) card will run in it (the voltages are different between AGP 2.0 and 3.0), it will probably not be very stable. I'm going to have to recommend a system upgrade in this situation. Your system seems too old to handle it. However, if you know what motherboard you have in your system, post it here. It's possible it supports both AGP 2.0 and 3.0. If this is the case, you can get away with picking up a 95/9600 series video card on the cheap (a sapphire Radeon 9600 will set you back about US$65 or so). Adras
I have a NVIDIA GeForce 6800+ and I believe it cost over $100 US dollars. I didnt order it, so I cant remember, but I'm sure you could go to a computer store somewhere in your area that might have better deals, or you can always buy one online from eBay (personally, I think thats too big of a risk) or ZipZoomFly has good deals usually. Dilvish
You have a motherboard with an AGP slot. You need to get an AGP 8X video card that's on the supported list. With AGP, you can go up to an NVIDIA 7800 GS or an ATI X850 XT. After that you would need a new motherboard with a PCI-E slot. Do you need a better card than the GeForce 6200? The developers say you can play Oblivion with any card on their list. You will get better performance with a card that is higher on the list. You have a nice rig to be using a crappy Ti 200...Well, if the 6200 is all you can afford right now, I'd say go for it. You'll at least be able to play Oblivion, and you'll even get Shader 3.0, unlike with ATIs lineup of AGP cards (they only offer 3.0 on the PCIe lines). It really depends on what you want to milk out of the game. The cheaper cards on the list won't be able to take take full advantage of the grahpics settings on the game, but you can at least play it. Not everyone has cash to drop on upgrades (that's why all I'm getting is a stick of 512 MB of memory). If you have cash to burn though, I'd say 6800 series. Definitely get 6200 as a minimum though - FX line was a joke. There's no point in going with ATI unless you upgrade to a PCIe system. (Don't bother until you have other needs for it though...because at that point you might as well build a whole new system).

Please don't waste your money on a 6200. Atleast invest $100 or so and get something like a Nvidia 6600GT, 6800GS or ATI X800GTO. The 6200 will barely run the game if at all and that too if your other system components were otherwise in the Recommended range. In my experience, most companies don't post the correct minimum specs, and mostly the recommended specs are the minimum specs. Because in the company's eyes, even a slide show, which doesn't crash everytime may be considered running a game on minimum settings. This is correct if taken literally, but enjoyment requires less frustration and more fun from a game. Edit: please check out this excellent link for determining how the game will run on a particular setup http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=264257
