It might be possible to remove, though it'd take a lot of extensive alterations of the theme's coding. Yeah, I do agree with you that it can be abused quite often like the ratings were, but in all honesty, don't fret too much over it. It's only symbolic, not practical. The individual ratings fluctuate when some one rates a member....my own goes up and down like a yo yo..... Do something some likes, they give you 5 stars, do something they don't and you get a one. The way of any rating...it is a popularity contest, so if that thing is of concern. Then you should be on your best behavior and be most helpful to the others in the community. Went up to 5 awhile back, was dropped back to 4 after mentioning I was at 5, guess people didn't want me to get an ego... Gained 5 again, but lost it after one or two people didn't like my tone. Honestly, although there is room for abuse, I think the system is still a good means of knowing what others think of you. If you are helpful, you get rated higher, if you act like a jerk, you get rated lower. Just like in life, there will always be spiteful people around who just want to mess things up.
