Guest deleted2159825
Any chance Parmley will make an appearance? I would love to reprise my role. :cool:Depending on his "path" in Russell, he could be possible in an upcoming mod. NVBIII is just too far away for Parmley, but it did cross my mind. I know I'm in a minority here, but wouldn't it be kinda fun if Eshter ( hope i spelled hew name correctly) would be the love interest? I mean she is a bad girl, and a slaver, and many other things, but there is something about that opportunity.Oh, just wait... theDemonJackal
-Drops to my knees and bows repeatedly-We are not Worthy!-Bows again and begins to cry- We are not worthy! Okay...Now that thats out my system, cant tell you how stoked I am for this. For the Longest time I couldnt complete Russel because of the final battle sequence...Finally I decided "f*#@ this I want to know how me and my buddy end!" so I cheated.........Moving on, imagine my surprise when I complete it and.... ...Like I would spoil it for you.... So with Russ by my side I am going to take on this mod like a motherf*#@er....When it comes out.Great to hear your back Bucko, cant wait to hear more. The only thing I want Esther for is either as a (unwilling) beta tester for my Survivalist's Rifle chambered in 6.5 Grendel, or as a living Tameshigiri mat for my Reaver Kleaver. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55981/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fnewvegas%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D55981&pUp=
Necromage5
As much as I wanted to kill Esther during her first appearance, our second encounter pretty firmly established her as the Fallout equivalent of Firefly's YoSaffBridge. I'm in support of an option to romance her, kill her, or both.
Guest deleted2159825
Turns out she wasn't going to have any appearance in NVBIII without a patch to NVBII. I'll have one up later today. The script was correct, but the engine just shot me the finger, so I had to restructure the trigger that updates the someguyseries.esm. It had been in a post-queststage block, but I moved it to Gamemode so that come hell or high water, if she's left alive after "Enemy of my Enemy", she will appear in NVBIII. I do hate these updates, though.
Guest deleted2159825
The ending slideshow is in place and it seems to be running smoothly, though comprehensive testing is in order. It's a hell of a lot easier to build one from scratch rather than un-f*** a preexisting one, that's for damn sure. I've just started on scripted content that takes place after the mod is essentially "finished", and I'm enjoying it. After that, the joy of LOD. Guest deleted2159825
Any Tribal presence in the Deep Creek Mountains worth noting? Not really. The 80's may play a role once the player leaves, depending on his/her choices. Update:- The slideshow is in place and is testing nicely. I managed to take away some lessons from Russell's initially disastrous slideshow and put the knowledge to use.- I'm working on a new scripted encounter system that will likely make completionists gnash their teeth and wail in frustration: - The selection, placement and timing of most scripted events will be randomized - Even with specific choices, certain events may or may not be triggered - you will be at the mercy of GetRandomPercent.- Ford and Cooper have also tested well thus far as companions- I added more dialogue for certain NPC's. 2,500 lines might be a possibility after all.- There will be ample foreshadowing for other... possibilities.
