Reiyan
i want to create a new female magic orientated character, what would be the best race for me to choose? ps, i was just wondering - the early fighters guild quests are quite easy, you just go kills loadsa things, but in the theifs guild the early quests dont seem as easy to complete. Im in hla oad trying to steal something of this guy, my sneak skill is at 50 so its not particularly bad nor good, seeing as it is one of the first quests i didnt think you would need a V high sneak skill, bt its proving to be tres annoying... i just cant seem to become "invisible" (not literally, bt the way you are wen your in sneak mode) wen im around this character, and so i keep gettign killed?! could anyone help? kate
Pob
Female magic. Hm. Well I like Argonians myself and they aren't bad, but Breton are ace for magic users and High Elves aren't bad. If you like Illusion Kahjit might not be bad and Dumner make a good all round choice. Personally would go Breton (my mage is an Breton) or an Argoniion (as I love them), but up to you
Vaa
Well, personally, I have to say High Elfs = Crap.Go for the Breton, Argonian is more of a combined fighter/mage/thief :)
Pack Rat
agree... High elves are boring and ugly and so on... Bretons/Argonians or Dark Elves are more the magic types...
Acoran
There must be and ecoh in here. I agree with the Brenton, Argonian, or Dunmer suggestions
Switch
Dunmer! u insult me! all my warrior characters are dunmer :P IMHO i think bretons and only bretons for mages. high elves just have too many weaknesses (tho at 100 int they have 470 magicka (with atronach) but not much good if they get thrashed all the time :P)
OddGuy
be a high elf. the only annoying thing is the weakness to magicka, but once you level up a few times, its not a big deal.
Jormundgand
Mage: Breton or High elf, personally i prefer BretonFighter: Nord. Errr.... they look like vikings.... And they are good fighters. Ohoh! Probably nothing to do with this topic. The faces in this game look like crap, so i would advise downloading some face mods, especially Astarsis or Rheeds.I will Say Astarsis bearded nords is essential if you are going to play a Nord male. Viking character without a beard? How sick is that?
thanateros
High elves in general are rather unappealing characters, they don't make good adventurers unless you wanna be an alms healer for the imperial cult or work for the Tribunal Temple. Breton = badass mages and they look like you wouldn't want to mess with them either. My vote is Breton with the atronach sign, at 100 they have 350 magicka, certainly enough to pound just about anything with huge annoyingly powerful spells but also are very able fighters against other mages. Darmoth
Not to mention Bretons have 50% resist Magicka, and if you find the Cuirass of Savior's Hide then that's a +60% for a total of 110% resistance to Magicka. :D
