That's actually a good question :confused: , but you should be asking Dark0ne with that question.

Because the servers don't work well when located inside an igloo and the electricity provided by huskies running on the treadmill outside isn't consistent and the power surges cause problems. :laugh:

The problem of slow downloads isn't necessarily servers, its ISP speeds and server use and a dozen other issues/problems such as;

Have you disabled QoS?

Does your ISP limit your P2P traffic?

Is your connection speed to the gateway or router slower than the available speed from your ISP.

Is your firewall correctly configured?

Have you optimized your operating system for your current connection speed?

How many connections are there between you and the server?

I download usually from one of the UK (London) servers which are 4000+ miles away and I consistently get between 600-800kbps download speed.

The nearest servers to where I am are under 1000 miles away and if I try them because London or Kent servers are busy, I rarely get over 100kbps on download (usually something like 30kbps) and they frequently fail to complete the download.

Why does this happen? I have no idea because trying to track through all the connections to see what the slowdown might be is difficult and time consuming and probably won't give an answer anyway.

The thing is, if everyone was experiencing slow speeds no matter where they were, then that might indicate a server problem. But when only some have a problem, it's likely a reason than the servers.

Typical stereotype, its a brisk 26c, no humidity. If ya want to vacation now is the time. Mind you if you suffer from allergies, you would be suffering twice as bad, sense we had a late spring. 4 seasons.
