Dullahan
How the heck do i get rid of those loading errors? I installed LCV, and i was getting error messages for at least 10 minutes, it can take the damn game 20 minutes to fully -load.. I did read the Plug-In pinned thread, however, that didn't help. I did open the TES Contruction thing, and opend the plug in. there was no option to save as active file. so i pushed ok. I got all thsese NPC subtitle errors, and then nothing. I tried to set another as the active, but the one i had opened origionally went back to inactive.. What the heck am i supposed to do?? It's getting extremely irritating.. I was installing the Water Nymph and Other Creatures expansion, then it started saying "cannot load _fish000000000000021, Program will crash!" And it did. So yeah, anyone care to help me out? ThetaOrionis01
To speed up the loading process you can enable AllowYesToAll in your Morrowind.ini - IIRC it's AllowYesToAll=1 - this will give you a 'cancel' option in the error message dialogue. You can still check the error messages in your warnings.txt. It might be an idea to post your warnings.txt for more information on the errors you're getting. Does the plugin have a read me which mentions any special requirements or incompatibilities? As regards the load error, if you have extracted all the included files to their correct folders and followed any instructions that may accompany the plugin yet the game still cannot load something it might be worth contacting the creator of the plugin for help. Yes, i have done all that.. but thanks for the ini tip, i will try that. My warning.txt? ThetaOrionis01
To get rid of the 'one of the files etc has changed blah blah' messages open each file separately in the CS. - check which masterfiles the esp needs- load the esp with the required esm files- set the esp as active- click 'ok' to load - once load is completed the title bar of the construction set window should show the name of the esp to indicate that it is the active file- click save - repeat for the other esps which give you the error messages When you reload the plugins after that the 'changed file' messages should no longer appear The missing object reference error sounds like it's caused by a script - load the esps and their masterfiles in the CS and look for Flora_T_podbud_02_rae in the objects lists - could be a static, container or activator. Once you've located it in the lists check whether the object exists in the game world, and double click it to bring up the properties. Check that 'references persist' is ticked. If it doesn't exist in the gameworld, or 'references persist' is not ticked you need to establish which esp the item should be in so that you can make the necessary changes in the correct file. Model load errors are usually caused when the meshes are not in the exact location the filepath in the object properties specifies. Check that you have the ,nif files mentioned in your warnings.txt in Data Files\Meshes\a - if not, create a folder labelled a within the meshes folder, and put the .nifs there. Hope this helps
