phoneyLogic
Hi folks, I have a problem while browsing the file site.Since yesterday I recognised, that most images start looking pixelated and discoloured. Almost all images look like this one here:http://www.loaditup.de/files/451938.pngThat's how I see them and it's getting worse. Does anybody else have this problem or is it related to my browser? :thanks:
VictoriaG
Have you tried an alternative browser like Firefox? Pretty sure that's the icon I see for it in the quicklaunch bar.
pcl
yap Du solltest wirklich lieber Firefox benutzen, ist nicht nur sicherer sondern auch Besser!Vielleicht liegt es am IE weiß nicht!
phoneyLogic
Yup, I tried, but looks almost the same with Firefox.May it have sth to do with the image format? So here it is an image in Firefox how it looks in my browser:http://www.loaditup.de/files/451978.png And here is the same image with its url on the file site:http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/4778-5-1236814471.jpg Do they look the same? Guest deleted726673
The second image looks fine for me. Don't know what causes this problem though, so I can't help you with that.
Illiad86
are you by chance on 56k or using a "Internet Accelerator" ? Internet Accelerators will drop the image quality so you can look at it faster. Internet Explorer also has some option to do that to the images (I'm not really sure where it is now, I haven't used IE since the late 90s). You might have accidentally imported the settings from IE to FF to do that to the images.
phoneyLogic
are you using a "Internet Accelerator" ? Internet Accelerators will drop the image quality so you can look at it faster.Jep :pinch: this exactly was the reason. Last week I played Battlefield 2 online and tried to speed up my Ping after getting kicked constantly from the server because of too high average Ping. So I installed such an Accelerator from my internet provider.Everything went a faster, but I haven't noticed any quality drops, so I forgot completely about it. And now, guess what: sometime this week I cleared my Internet cache ... and strangely some immages started looking odd ... ;D :thanks: for the help
