Feedback system for Mods are Screwed up!

I want to say, I love this site and all the hard work people do on the mods!

 

I just wish they would fix the feedback system!

 

I downloaded a few mods about 2-3 wks ago, I came back to the site to give praise on the mods.

However, the system wont let me because it "forgot" I downloaded the mods.

 

Therefore, I had to redownload the one that was my favorite just so that I could leave praise for it. I then went to leave kodo's and it stated I had to wait 15 mins before leaving feedback. So, I waited 20 mins. Came back to leave feedback and now it states I have to wait 3hrs!

That is a completely screwed up system, that in order to leave feedback on a mod you love, you have to redownload it and then wait 3 hrs to leave praise. Yeah... okay... that is so completely reasonable right? So, is the point to get people not to leave feedback, by making it a complete run around to deter then from bothering or what?

 

It's a real shame is what it is. I am sure most of the praise and thumbs ups are and never will be granted to those modders who spent countless hours making these mods and will never see the praise they are due. :ermm:

 

I sure hope that gets fixed soon. Otherwise it's a FANTASTIC site!!!!!

Is it possible you first downloaded the files when you weren't logged in? That would be a simple reason why the site doesn't remember.

 

There is a 3 hour delay from when you download a file for the first time and when you can endorse it. This is standard across all the sites.

Yeah I guess I may have logged out along the way while I was looking through all the mods originally.

 

I had spent nearly the entire day perusing the site in all the categories before deciding to download 3 of the mods. I probably did log out at some point as I had lots of windows open trying to narrow my selection down to only a few. Hard to do when there are so many fantastic mods!

 

I did go back in today and leave feedback on my favorite mod of the 3. But have to say all 3 are great.

 

Did have a problem with the mod to get the door to Mystic Emporium to open when I use the both the Stronghold and Frostcraig spire plugin. Would only work if I loaded the stronghold first then the frostcraig, but alas I would have to delete my completely furnished Frostcraig to add Stronghold then re-add Frostcraig. But when I do, all my purchases for it are gone (thank goodness for making backups). The Stronghold is really nice for building up melee end of a toon (I have a war-wizard), but the Spire has really nice assets for any type of build.

FYI - The endorsement / voting system is what you are talking about...and if the mods you downloaded were less than 2 mb and it does not remember on your tracking center, it must have been downloaded while you were logged out. If the file is larger than 2 mb, you have to be logged in to download...so if the tracking center did not remember the larger than 2mb download, there is an issue.

 

However, any member can give direct feedback to an author using the comments or sending a PM (if they are enabled)

 

As an author of mods myself, I have always found comments that explained what was liked, disliked and the reasons behind them to be much more useful than a vote. ;)
