XJDHDR
I'm sorry but you didn't give a lot of information to us. Where exactly do you run into problems?
nosisab
Since you are in the begin: Uninstall the game and install again FAR AWAY from the C:\Program Files (it applies to any game you install). The reason is the increased "security" Windows 7 treats this folder. Something like C:\Games or another partition (like D:, E:) will do the trick. Almost all people who ask for help with the same symptoms shares the same default install problem. PS: Only once someone told us to have installed inside the Documents folder. That is yet worser! do not do it.
MonsterHunterMaster
first of all install the game into the default directory (on my pc its C:).then you just have to put all the mod files (textures, meshes, .esp....) into the data folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data you dont need to run oblivion as an administrator, you just need to be administrator when you get asked, if you want to copy the mod files into the data folder of oblivion.mods run on windows 7, im using it too and it works perfectly... bben46
I have been using Win7 since the eval version. It works fine. My Oblivion is installed on C:\Games\Oblivion. And NOT the default location. I never get asked to run as administrator, or blocked from installing mods by UAC.

Mine works fine as well and my path is nearly the same as bben's but on another drive altogether. This link might help. It also links back to bben's guide here at Nexus. Matoyak
mods run on windows 7, im using it too and it works perfectly...If you have yours installed into the default directory, you got lucky. I originally had mine installed there, and I had nothing but problem after problem until I bit the bullet and uninstalled everything and reinstalled it to "C:\VideoGames\Oblivion" No problems after that whatsoever, other than a crappy graphics card. How comes everything works fine here with the default directory? could it be the 64 bit version?
