Nyquist
So I finaly acquired FO:NV and installed it via steam. However it is giving me huge headaches. When I launch NVSE it opens the launcher. What is even worse is that MO does not seam to hook in. Also neither does FOMM. I am sure that the NVSE is installed correctly since I have almost all my TES games modded. And Skyrim does indeed work. When I open the steamapps/common folder where this game is located and when I open FalloutNV.exe it opens the launcher again which seems completely absurd. When writing getNVSEVersion I get the answer 4 so it seems to be installed. However getting that launcher open each time is annoyin and bizzarre as well. When checking for integrity it always shows an issue whatever it might be and redownloads the file. However the file downloaded never gets bigger that 60kb so it doesn't seem to download anything usefull at all. I cannot even begin to fathom from where this issue might stem. It seems however that my folder is called "Fallout New Vegas enplczru" so maybe the issue is that it's an eastern version >.< however if this is the case it might even mean that it is unmoddable. When trying just the 4gb patch I also get that annoying launcher >.<. Whatever it may be it seems that a less legal procedure allows me to get it working. However since I bought this game I want it to work via steam as it is supposed to as well as to get all my mods functional via mod organizer. I have a copy of my folder but it is annoying as hell to install mods physically into folder where they fail to work. As an example i can give Nevada Project not working. If someone would help I would be really grateful. Nyquist
It seems I have narrowed down the issue. When one launches nvse it launches a process steam uses. What happens then is that steam opens that launcher. It seems that there is a true issue with nvse and steam compatability. At least for the eastern version. Could someone tell me how to contact the nvse creators? Edited June 25, 2014 by Nyquist
JimboUK
Open steam first, I have Steam set to start at start up, it gets rid of that particular annoyance.
