AncientSpaceAeon
I loved the fourth. So even I don't have a great pc, I hope I could play the game. The graphics of course will be stunning. The vast graphical improvement from Rome to Napoleon : Total War kinda showed this (despite different developers), as well with tons of current games. Civilization V will of course have far better graphics ! P.S : Total War is just an example Comments, please ?
Sinophile
I never played Total War. My favorite Sid Meier Games to date are Alpha Centauri and Call To Power. I played Colonization II, but it was too much Micromanagement for me.
Alastair91
I loved civilization 4, will totally get this. Hopefully it'll turn out better than expected, I don't really care much of the graphic's since it's more of a board game.

AncientSpaceAeon
I played it a lot since it was the only game I could run on my old Gateway laptop(which had a crappy on-board Intel GPU).So we are the same then. (there's quite other games you could play, be sure to play the demos first !) TheTerminator2004
Yep, it's gonna be hex-based, instead of squares. Its gonna be interesting to see how well that works out - if they get it right, it could be brilliant, but if they get it wrong, it could totally ruin the game. I'm personally quite optimistic, and its definitely good that they're trying out something new. Very much looking forward to this.
Fonger
look at Ancient Aeon posts carefully The trailer is obviously CG and reads like a FPS The screenshots are of a traditional tile based board game - In computer terms, its similar to Civ 1 - 4 The trailer gives the impression the game will be an up-graphiced variant of Oblivion + FO3 combined The screenshots clearly show its another in the line of CIV 1-4 Something is misrepresented in the trailer. Thanks Ancient Aeon that clears up much. The next generation Civilization game starts off on the wrong foot. This does not bode well.
Sinophile
The hexes make it look like Settlers of Cattan. The trailed reminds me of Final Fantasy, which was one of the first games to overutilize CGI sequences and trailers.
