Strange sparkling shimmers ran through the Grand Imperial Palace, not all the time but growing steadily more frequent and stronger. Fundamental changes were transforming aspects of the structure but much looked to be the same, even if it was not so. At first many wanted to leave but soon relaxed for not only did none come to harm but the palace began to 'feel' safer to most; in contrast some left in a hurry at investigations proved them to be of truly dark nature or even having links with dark magics.

Elevator chambers became more common and more commonly used as did message-tubes that could send both message scrolls and small items in tube-canisters. True-mirrors also appeared, also known as magimirrors, through which communications could be carried out. At first no audio ability came with these but that soon began to change. Magiputers (magic-computers) appeared in a few places but not many of them in comparison to the size of the palace; the same was true of other Grand Aldmer devices of what they would have considered to be of a more 'common' kind. These were such as dispensers, duplicators, replicators, dream-chairs, healing-cells, meditation-cells, float down shafts and others.

The CloneEmperor's efforts to properly map the palace became most complicated and had to be started all over again with just the collecting of information about changes.

It was Martin Septim, who had come from Kvatch to meet with the Emperor, who examined the cube shaped magic map that had been found along with the first magiputer and the summoning disk, who realized that the map reflected the true nature of the WhiteGoldTower but also of the transforming Grand Imperial Palace. Martin had become a Blade, along with a Follower of Talos, the Hero Demidivine. He intended to return to Kvatch, and his adoptive family. Working with others, Martin soon discovered that the magimap hid many coded secrets and guessed hid some so much they were not even visible. The magimap indicated that the exotic influence, from the WhiteGoldTower, was spreading out from the Grand Imperial Palace, was flowing not only outwards but downwards.

A great battle raged in Northern Cyrodiil but it had nothing to do with the dug in 10th Legion or Blades. Reports came from such peoples as goblins, wild humans, wild Mer, bandits, treasure hunters and others of a great underground conflict raging between two terrible antinatural armies. One one side were many undead be they zombies, wraiths, skelties, lichs, vampires or other kinds. On the other side were living-dead, or necrolifen, entities created in necrovats and by other means. Terrible magics were hurled and there were many living necromancers, on one side, and necromages on the other. No witnesses dared to get very close to the conflict. It ended abruptly, just as it had started, and though much was looted by both sides there was much left remaining in a great, dismal, chamber half filled with crumbling, evil appearing, temples.

Ghosts kept going to the CloneEmperor to give information, many returning more than once. As ghosts kept returning, including that of Emperor Uriel Septim III, they became to seem 'cleaner and stronger' somehow; they were going through repentence for their bad deeds as they took increasing risks to gain information; yet they also became more protected from any necromage, or other, threats.

The CloneEmperor sat, with a Venturer13 sleeping in his lap, and studied a slanted map that was almost identical to that as used by the MadEmperor. It lacked some markers, thus some information, but the CloneEmperor Uriel Septim VII already suspected that not all information was being passed on.

He spoke to Jauffre, Jorzi01 who was not in his lap, and Caula Voria who was no longer pretending to be the Eternal Champion. "I am glad that you have come forward with the truth, Empress. There has been a deep, important, change in you. You are less over confident but a wiser person. I like your new, stylized, armor and practical crown-helmet. Do you know of the real Jadekia, the Eternal Champion?"

She shook her head. "No, she vanished before I became the false Jadekia. It was she who left a request that I pretend to be her and even gave me the divine magical bracelet to do so. She stated, in the message, that she believed that I had changed for the better because of suffering from being tormented by the false Jagar Tharn who betrayed the Emperor. You are the CloneEmperor, as created by the MadEmperor to cover how damaged he had become from his being trapped in the terrible Mirrorlands, of the Oblivion Realms. I have changed but it is up to others to say if it is for the better."

Then she spoke on. "The MadEmperor was being partly controlled by something dark, and terrible, that came with out of the Mirrorlands but it never tried to fully control him. That one has gone now but as it left, it left a message behind of a very surprising nature; the entity is neither of the living-dead or undeath but was once a terrible Grand Aldmer MagitechLord; her kind invented, designed, and oversaw the manufacture-maintenance of all Grand Aldmer magitech, and other power, artifacts of the less common, more elite, kinds. Generally they oversaw all such artifacts, even the lowliest and most common. Though hard, dark, of nature the entity is no longer truly evil but seeks to redress old crimes, to help bring back the 'healthy balances' to Mundus. She did not explain what she meant by this except that it had something to do with a series of terrible events, and holy-unholy crimes of deities, of the Mythic Era and First Era. She stated that none were fully clean of blame including the Thirteen Divinities and the Grand Daedra."

Caula Voria: "The one gave the following directions-clues: 'Find the temples, that were never temples, of gods that were never truly gods. Seek the false Divines, Grand Daedra and Gods of the Great Mythic Deception. Find the great divinity who died but did not die. Seek the path, that begins with the greedy blasphemous theft by petty mortals, in the Grand Imperial City. Discover why MehrunesDagon really wants to invade Tamriel. Find, and rescue, the Eternal Champion Jadekia. Jadakandiza promised to give more directions-clues in future."

Mahargiata was suddenly standing there in rainbow patterned metallic armor of dull coloring. The handle of a big two-hand-sword (grandsword) could be seen poking over his left shoulder. He had other devices, and items, of which only a few looked like weapons.

Mahargiata spoke with a warm smile in his voice and on his face. "Do not fully trust Jadakandiza but know her directions-clues were authentic and to be trusted. The Venturers13 were sent here by others outside of Mundus but were intercepted, before they arrived, by the Eternal Guardian in our many aspects. We altered the nature of the Venturers13, for they were sociopathic killers, and turned them into what they are now; they have done what they needed to do in that the Venturers13 have deep-bonded with the CloneEmperor to strengthen you as necessary and to strengthen the Venturers13 in turn. They also saved the life of the CloneEmperor that the MadEmperor had planned to sacrifice; that was before we began to waken the MadEmperor further, to strengthen him against the influence of Jadakandiza. We gave her a shapeform to live as, as part of an agreement between us, but of that I can not speak more of."

He went on. "It is time to fully activate the Venturers13 so it-they become the Venturers131313. Yes, 13x13x13. All of the Venturers, now to be there common name, will fall deeply asleep over the next few days. We, the Eternal Guardian, activated the changes that are sweeping out from the WhiteGoldTower but with the help of others, including Jadakandiza. She was not just any of the Grand Aldmer elite of elite but was Grand Aldmer Empress twice and Grand Aldmer Sage most of her very long life. Grand Aldmer are lesser immortals, unlike the Common Aldmer who are long lived mortals. There are populations of both, who still exist, but I will not speak more of that, at least not for now."

The CloneEmperor shook his head wryly. "2,197 Venturers!"

Mahargiata nodded. "Not all will be soldiers, as they are now, though all will be fine fighters; the elite-elite supersoldiers will fight better than the others but all will be at least elite supersoldiers. Others will be healers, artisans, scholars, bards, spies, battlemages, scouts and other classes. They are not to be confused with the CloneBlades that have already emerged as Blades recruits. We know the source of the CloneBlades but, again, I can not speak of it; I wish I was able to speak openly of much more, than I can, all but we (the Eternal Guardian) have our obligations and duties as you do. I must go but will return as soon as I can. We (The Eternal Guardian) may have many aspects but it never seems enough to meet the pressures on us."

Then he was gone, with a soft shimmering.

One 28.1[43][53]

Martin Rosam Septim, Rosam being his adoptive name, had returned briefly to Kvatch to be with his adoptive family. He had returned after just a few days. A few Waygateways, of the Waygateway-Network, had become secured and sealed off from more troubled areas of the network. The Waygateways always shortened the travels between places but they had not been maintained properly since the Grand Aldmer had vanished from Tamriel. The Eternal Guardian did what it could but it could not replace the hundreds of Grand Aldmer who once kept the network both safe and secure; also some vital knowledge, of the true nature of the Waygateways-Network, had been lost. Some areas, of the network, had long ago been heavily sealed off, or even destroyed, just before the Grand Aldmer had vanished.

Martin moved through part of the Grand Imperial Sewer Tunnels, flushed more pure with fresh rains, and noted that it was a section built long ago by the Ayleid at the height of their power and knowledge.

Some darkness had fallen upon the Ayleid Kingdom of Kingdoms; it was largely a mystery except that it was said that the Ayleid troubles had been linked to the misuse of ancient Grand Aldmer power-artifacts. The Ayleid Kingdom of Kingdoms had not used slaves, not not needed to do so, but the scatter surviving Ayleid Kingdoms, of the Dark Event, had started doing so for unknown reasons. A few scholars surmised that slaves were used to replace some other kind of worker, perhaps some kind of magical mechanisms like the Dwemer magic-clockworks. Evidence of the Dark Event had been found beneath Imperiarna proper and they passed an area where one wall was strangely, partly, melted. Wildmer, the only known Ayleid survivors in Tamriel, did not speak of such things and, under torture, have died rather than do so."

Martin indicated the burned area. "Our strongest Imperial magic, or technologies, can even mark such substances. Only the Thirteen Divinities seem to have the power to over come it. Yet some force melted, smashed or totally destroyed structures made of such materials. That was the Dark Event!"

Renault sighed. "Your highness, we need to keep focused on our current mission."

Martin frowned. "I am doing so! The Ayleid Kingdom of Kingdoms mostly, openly, worshipped MehrunesDagon. Yet there was a minority who worshipped an unknown deity; a few record fragments speak of their experimenting with dark knowledge such as the creation of living-dead entities in vats that may have been a type of necrovats. That was just before the Ayleid Dark Event."

A strange soft shimmering went through the tunnel and the melted area vanished away as it was replaced by new looking Ayleid super-stone. The group halted to stare, in wonder, at what had appeared. The melting had covered what was clearly a very heavily armored metallic door; had it been a coincidence or had the big, square, door been deliberately hidden?

On the big, square, door was a daedric symbol that seemed familiar to all but Martin, who knew what it was. "That is the Ayleid symbol for MehrunesDagon that more modern versions, of that symbol, look much like. That is like the MythicDawn symbol for MehrunesDagon or even the dremora symbol for their Grand Daedric Lord. Note the three red rings, around the main symbol, for they are a warning. The door leads to a highly restricted area, either directly or indirectly so. I wonder what else the amazing changes, to Imperiarna, are exposing."

The Bladeguards said nothing, but prepared for trouble, as Imperial Prince Martin carefully examined the door closer up. He did not go too close, let alone touch it. With the Bladeguards was one of the new type Blademage, a specialist in 'destruction' and 'restoration' arcane magics.

The door gave an odd clicking noise as it suddenly slid backwards and then began to slide to one side. It did so slowly but as a gap formed a big dimly space could be seen. Then the terrible, unnatural, stench struck the group so that they all stepped back in surprise. Martin took more steps from the others as shambling things came out of large shadows and came towards the Blades.

They had been Ayleid but he endlessly rotting, regenerating, moving corpses were obviously no longer so. They came forward in an aggressive fashion but, in a contradictory fashion, some begged to be killed in slurry voices. Martin raised his hands, a look of sadness on his face, and hurled two powerful fireballs through the opening doorway. Four of the creatures exploded into flames, burning away with unnatural speed, the flames leaping out to send up others. The conflagration continued with the group firing off magical arrows and magical energy projectiles.

When the last living-dead entity was burned away, the group moved into the chamber beyond to find a most surprising find but one less horrific than the now burned away necrolifen. Ayleid high craftworks, artworks, and strange mechanisms dotted the walls and wall alcoves. The chamber grew lighter but not brightly so. There were Ayleid crystalstones in sconces; most were of the five known kinds, two being more common than the others. There were three kinds unknown to the Septim Empire. Most of the mechanisms were of unknown kinds; the few, that were known of, had ever only been found as abandoned junk by the Ayleid themselves. There were paintings, wall tapestries, alcove statues and other artworks craftworks, that showed a mixture of known and unknown features of Ayleid society.

There were two other doors, both being identical looking to the one that they had come through, but with out any symbols. The group did not go even close to those other doors.

Martin found the strange goblet, that he 'sensed' was somehow disturbingly unnatural, and carefully examined it. There was a tiny amount of dried liquid at the base. He carefully took a sniff, grimaced and pushed the goblet away from his face. "A form of necrozaze, a most dangerous and antinatural necromage made substance. Even the most learned, and powerful, necromages have found it very hard to make. Yet this substance is very potent."

Baurus frowned. "Your Highness, how do you know of this?"

Martin smiled. "Relax, Baurus, I am no necromage! I did do some deep researches into dark knowledge and, alas, some experimentation that led to very bad results for some of my friends and almost for myself. If it had not been for a powerful, generous, stranger I would not be here today. We must secure this chamber as soon as we can and have people examining what is here. There are important clues, here, to the challenges that we face."

Zero [11][55]

The Venturers (once the Venturers13) slept, and transformed, inside the tritranscube while protected by the Three GoodOnes (SantaClaus, EasterRabbit and Toothfairy), as they had titled themselves. The exception was Jorzi01 who slept in the lap of CloneEmperor Uriel Septim VII.

The investigations of the chamber led to many startling discoveries about the truth of Ayleid histories. It appeared that there had been a whole period of time that had been lost, had been erased by the efforts of the Ayleid themselves. There had been the rise, and fall, of the Grand Ayleid who had deemed to be like the Grand Aldmer of old. They had done much that was clever, had created new magitech devices, had built a great army of serving mechanisms and it seemed that they could do no wrong. Something had gone wrong but, what it was, had not been spoken of in that chamber.

The two other doors, in that chamber, led to other chambers much like it, grand hallways and a range of circular areas that appeared to be devoted to various Daedric Princes. MehrunesDagon was very prominent but there were mentions of all Sixteen Daedric Princes (of those times before the Great Reformation). Yet there were also more exotic devotional areas, almost hidden to the side of the main areas, devoted to a mysterious dark entity that was given no name but only a rather twisted, troubling, symbol.

Smashed remains of serving-mechanisms, mechogoms that came in different forms, were found but more of them were quietly parked in odd alcoves that seemed for recharging, along with storage. There were basic humanoids, trolley-things and odd ones like games of chess. There was a kind of pride in having a variety of more exotic kinds and it showed in the way that such exotic ones were displayed.

The 10th Legion reached its military destination safely. Bladerangers, Imperial Rangers, and others were busy seeking out threats being different from the typical ones such as wild goblins, savage wildfolk, rogue tribes of Wildmer (Ayleid?), pockets of undead, bandits, mimes, yuppies, tribal raiders (a rare threat) from the Underlands and others. They found nothing but traces of threats when it came to large forces of undeath or any of the exotic living-dead.

The CloneEmperor held a series of magical, long distance, communications with important leaders in Tamriellan areas outside of the Empire. Important issues were discussed such as the new, arising, threats. Even the arrogant Altmer leadership, of the Summerset Isles, was keen to talk for they were fully aware of the potential danger. Most of Skyrim was Imperial but the independent kingdoms formed a new alliance. The BlackMarsh did much the same as did Valenwood, Morrowind, HighRock, Elsweyr and Orcmia. Other provinces were not so communicable such as Sarniata to the extreme south (a strange subcontinent divided by an ancient canal from the main continent) and the mysterious Friendlies Archipelago to the east of the mainland. The Underlands were an largely unknown. But all had in common growing disturbances of the restless dead, unliven and undead or so they reported.

Many agree that this amazing political moment was symbolic of the end of the Third Era.

"Living-dead things powered these fancy mechanisms!" Martin Septim gave a look of disgust as he examined the strange burn marks left by the destruction of some kind of entity. He crouched over a battered mechogom that had a panel open to show its guts. There were elaborate controls, running gear and such like but also were the enslaved living-dead entity sat in some kind of cage thing. "As bad as the necrolife are, I 'sense' these were cruelly enslaved. It seems that they turned upon their Ayleid masters as did humanity, and beastfolk, centuries later. There are variations of design that remind me of the Dwemer magic-clockworks but the way the living-dead creatures were used, that reminds me of the Necromer."

ToothFairy stood there, looking odd in her exotic armor and 'fairy' style helmet. She looked around at the chamber in awe. "Your Highness, when I was trapped into a necrogrom, a very terrible experience that I will not discuss as yet, I learned far more about the necromagic, necromages and other related darkness than I wanted to. The thinking of those, who work with such foolishness, tends itself to paranoid levels of secrecy. One needs to seek secret areas, tunnels, small chambers and other heavily guarded features; they will be protected by magic and nasty tricks-traps."

Martin stood up. "As with the Ayleid underground cities long ago abandoned?"

The strange entity smiled. "Your Highness, yes but likely both more dangerous and exotic. The Grand Ayleid, as they deigned to call themselves, made much of the Grand Imperial Labyrinth inside the palace; the Ayleid, in general, added to it and extended it out, as did other peoples including the hidden ones. Not all of the living-dead are evil or as evil as the things that threaten the Septim Empire. The poor things, enslaved in these horrid mechanisms, were not evil at all; that is why you found you had pity for them. Such are the necrofolk who dwell at peace in the depths, often dealing positively with others of the living and even peaceful undead."

Martin stretched. "I do not think that much could surprise me any more. There is a guarded message-tube alcove not far from here. We need to get a message to the CloneEmperor of what is going on here."

ToothFairy smiled. "Of course but not yet, not until we have searched out some of the wonderful local secrets."

Martin shook his head with a scowl. "Who, what, ever you are I suggest you reveal your true self. There is such a message-tube alcove near here but it is not guarded for the Empire does not have enough guards to spare. You are dark, of nature, but not threatening."

Jadakandiza appeared, in the guise of a robed dressed Grand Aldmer but the robe was designed for efficiency and not for decorative purposes. "Very good, you are as perceptive as your father. You 'sensed' I was an imposter even before that little test of yours; I already knew that the alcove was not guarded."

The elegantly beautiful Grand Aldmer, if she was still one, had cold eyes but that was typical of many of the Merfolk such as the Altmer, Dwemer and Ayleid. The Wildmer (Wild Ayleid) had changed to become more emotional and it showed in their eyes. She spoke more. "Your Highness, I have visited a large civilization of Grand Aldmer and Common Aldmer along with other peoples, including humans. There is much more equality, harmony and justice in the Friendlies Archipelago than there was in the old Aldmer run Empire. Ayleid, Dwemer and other people who vanished, from Tamriel, dwell there. There are many odd beastfolk and exotics, there, including odd Mer Peoples."

Martin frowned softly. "How did you get so far, so quick?"

She gave a strange, sharp, shrug. "Your Highness, the Waygates and other means."

They sought 'secrets' in the chambers and soon found a minor one that was a statue, in an alcove, that pushed to one side to expose a floor safe. It was not even heavily secured and-or trick-trapped. Inside it were strange triangular Ayleid coins, jewelry, scroll documents in the Ayleidic or Old Cyrodilic language. There were magiphotos, a little dull colored, 2D but otherwise accurate, of Ayleid individuals and groups. A few seemed to be of mixtures of the same family group but it was hard to tell with Ayleid culture. The oddity was that all of the Grand Ayleid women went bare breasted.

"Your Highness, typical Grand Ayleid foolishness; the baring of breasts would have been some kind of effort to please one of the Daedric Princes." Jadakandiza gave a sharp noise of annoyance. "Their efforts often amused, but sometimes insulted, the Daedric Princes. MehrunesDagon had grown truly tired of their antics, he detests necromagery and necromancy, by the time the High Ayleid suffered their own, lesser, 'Dark Event'. It did lead to the destruction of their Empire, often known as the Kingdom of Kingdoms."

Martin carefully removed everything from the neat cube shaped floor safe, putting it to one side for later storage and then study. The backlog of things to be studied was so huge that most items were going straight into the enlarged Grand Imperial Archives. "So the High Ayleid dabbled with necromancy?"

Jadakandiza: "Your Highness, they 'dabbled' with many things and that was just their problem for they did not spend enough effort in their researches before they raced into their too often dangerous experiments and creation of devices. My people, as you did, were more careful but still ran into trouble. We have learned and those of us, who still live, are much more careful. The Necromer had a powerful, subtle, influence on what happened to we Grand Aldmer; we assumed that we had exiled them but some remained secretly amongst us, including in our highest and most honored castes. They were part of the reason the Dark Event happened. It was a dark irony that all of the hidden Necromer were killed by the Dark Event itself."

Martin Septim shook his head. "Except you!"

The Grand Aldmer woman bowed briefly. "Your Highness is indeed as perceptive as either the CloneEmperor or the MadEmperor. The Eternal Guardian always knew, of course! Yes, I was a very unwise Necromer and I paid for it but I deserved what I earned! You have noted the almost invisible symbol on the floor of the floor safe?"

Martin carefully studied the symbol and then, after warning the others to be alert, touched it. At first nothing happened but, then, with a muffled heavy clanking noise a large entrance opened. Blades rushed from that area in a hurry. Even as they did they took turns shooting magical arrows, or energy projectiles, at the small horde of living-dead Ayleid that came shambling, stumbling, towards the group. Again there was aggression but also pleases to be killed. This time the group attacked with swords, magical katanas, along with magical projectiles. Martin hurled fireballs and the Grand Aldmer (Necromer) projected pale beams of light that caused the living-dead to disintegrate.

But this time they found four living-dead, former Grand Ayleid, who were not aggressive and who gave information in exchange for quick merciful deaths.

Zero [12][58]

The changes continued through the Grand Imperial City, going down as far as the Ayleid common areas, sewer tunnels, upper layers of the Undercity but no further. It was at this time that the upper levels, of the Undercity became known as the Midcity, being changed as they were. People began to move from the Undercity up into the Midcity. The Haven District grew until it became known as the Haven Districts. Changes took place there also.

The searches through the Ayleid areas continued; it seemed that they had once sealed off by deliberate action, that the melting of walls and other means was far from accidental. Again, and again, pitiful living-dead former Ayleid were found, most hostile with hunger but all desiring death. They were all given mercy deaths despite that some wished a few to be captured for study. The CloneEmperor decreed that such suffering entities must be killed as painlessly, as quickly, as was possible. In truth nothing new could be gained by capturing any for such knowledge had been gained, in the past, in large quantities.

Other careful explorations continued as did special mapping now using a magiputer linked to the magimap cube as they had designed to be. A magiputer was linking to the exotic summoning disk, as found at the same time as the first magiputer, and small spheres of elemental energy were summoned. These were basic elemental entities of psionic, metaphysical, psychic-spiritual, phase, solar and life energy types. They were soon assisting the exploration parties, proving to be most effective against the living-dead.

It was at this time that a great wave of discrimination against the 'tame undead' and 'friendly unliven' began to sweep across the Empire; it was no coincidence that such began in areas with few, or no, such entities and where blind superstition was very strong.

Dragons began to be spotted flying in some areas of Tamriel. A few were big Imperial Dragons, or Cursed Dragons from the terrible Dragon War, but most were less magical tribal or wild dragons or even hybrids. Sightings of non flying dragons also began but in fewer places. Skeletal, lich like, DragonPriests were also being encountered in Skyrim but not too commonly.

A troubling report, came to the CloneEmperor, indicating that there was deep growing corruption in the Grand Imperial Guild. The Grand Imperial Guild had also been increasingly responsible for other crimes in both strength and number. The CloneEmperor began the process of investigating the guild through three different ways; one was official, one was semiofficial and the other was unofficial.

Steammagic first emerged in the Commons City of Artisanburg. At first it was mostly experimental but it was quickly becoming apparent that its useful applications could be many.

One 30.1[47][59]

The Prophet Hamidmo was confused for the attack, he had foreseen in visions, had not happened in the Divine Chapel of Dibella, in Anvil. Instead all of the priests, priestesses, were well and alive. There had been no massacre and he had a headache. He stood at the unusual structure across from the cathedral that was little more than a hard stone roof with rows of columns and a floor the same size as the rectangular shaped roof. Nobody seemed to know who had made it or why they had done so. The common name for the structure was the Open Temple because there were odd symbols etched lightly into the columns, floor, and ceiling that were unknown but looked religious.

Mahargiana suddenly was standing quietly there in dull rainbow metallic armor. She had a great bow, in a quiver-scabbard, slanted on her back with part of it showing over her left shoulder. She smiled at the man. "Hamidmo, the Eternal Prophet, this is not the first time the prophesies have abruptly changed. Umaril the Unfeathered is no longer of any threat for the Daedric Prince Meridia had withdrawn her support of his quest to revenge himself against the Divines. She has called upon Umaril the Unfeathered to carry out another quest that does not please him; he will do so loyally out of a twisted form of love for Meridia and common sense fear of what she will do if he were foolish enough to refuse."

Mahargiana took the Eternal Prophet by the hand and led him to the very center of the floor of that place. "You can feel the power here, the ancientness of this place that is not what it looks to be. We, the Eternal Guardian, placed a solid illusion over top a most ancient sunken structure of Grand Aldmer design and construction. We did not consider it would ever be need to be revealed."

Hamidmo sighed. "My head is expressing that certain type of pain indicating a powerful vision is going to come to me very soon." Then he closed his eyes with a grimace before shuddering softly. Mahargiana held both of her friend's hands in hers.

Hamidmo opened his eyes and he looked deeply concerned. "This is not good at all, not at all. We need the assistance of the Great Divinity herself, of the Thirteen Divinities. We need all the divine assistance, and other strong assistance, that we can get. Compared to the threat, that now faces us, Umaril the Unfeathered was indeed of little real challenge. I must go at once to meet the CloneEmperor, and MadEmperor, in the Grand Imperial Palace. Aaahhh, that there should be two times Emperor Uriel Septim VII. It is a most strange world that we live in."

Mahargiana smiled. "Hold tight onto my hands, old friend, and close your eyes."

He did so and the two of them vanished. Seconds later they were in the CloneEmperor's throneroom and were facing the Emperor himself. He listened quietly to what Hamidmo had to say and his expression grew increasingly grave. After that he focused on talking with his top people and sending out a series of requests, orders and even a couple of decrees.

A great, and horrific, invasion was coming of Tamriel while other great threats were arising in Tarmriel itself; none of these events were coincidental and all of them were linked to the manipulative evil of one malignant entity known as the Great Enemy of Life.
