SayinNuthin
I don't suppose anyone has found a way to make a Wacom pressure sensitive tablet work with the GECK's landscape tools? I know, given how rocky (no pun intended) the landscape tools are it's a hell of a long shot. But the ingenuity of the members here never ceases to surprise, so I thought I'd ask. I'm on good 'ol WinXP if that's of any help and the tablet can be configured for any other app I use. P-S, Gimp, Freehand, even old PaintShop Pro can manage it (an that's going back some). JimboUK
It should work like a mouse, the only obvious problem would be the pen pressure and I have no idea how you would get that to work in an application that doesn't support it. A pen without the pressure is still better than a mouse so it'll be worth using.
SayinNuthin
The basic mouse functions are fine and using the Wacom settings I can map the render window to the tablet etc.. But as I'm trying to texture a large quantity of landscape (about a fifth of the entire gamespace) I wondered if anyone knew of a way to set the stylus pressure to operate the Ls opacity or radius. Just on the off chance...
JimboUK
The radius you could set to the tablets wheel if it has one, the hotkeys are [ and ], that could be set up to operate in much the same way as changing brush size in PS works, that would speed things up. As for pen pressure and opacity I really don't know.

It doesn't but it's still a good idea as it 's possible to configure the pen buttons for any keys, mouse functions or other. but I'm starting to run out of hands here! Time to fire up the Dragon speech software. What do you recon, 'Fus' for more opacity and 'Dah' for less?....

SayinNuthin
So what would be the Thuum for GECK-Rend? So I can stop accidentally using it and prevent the; the garden of eden creation kit has encountered a problem - message from appearing when I exit the GECK, about 50% of the time! Like whenever I've done ANYTHING at all with Navmesh, About half the time I''ve been working with Landscape textures and I haven't even started scripting or NPC paths or anything 'complex'. I'm pretty much still messing with statics and colouring things. Am I building a mountain of errors into this mod? Hi SayinNuthin :) Are you saying that every time you do something with navmesh you crash on exiting the Geck? Because if that is what you are saying I can tell you that I experience the same thing. It doesn't matter how small the change is that I make to it either. Any time I touch navmesh the Geck crashes on exit. And that's not the same navmesh, so that it would be like a bugged navmesh or whatever. It's any navmesh I touch. :) llama
JimboUK
Have you tried making the GECK large address aware? I've found that really helps.

So relieved it's not just my lead-footed driving then. As I've scrupulously saved the .esp before exiting - or crashing out of the thing! It 'shouldn't' be an issue. But the only thing I can be certain of is how little I actually understand with this stuff  Really, I'm just guessing an poking things with sticks here... @ Jim_UK, Is that the booster mod for the GECK? Call me Mr Scaredy Cat but making profound changes to the program, half way through a project, didn't seem like a brilliant idea... My lack of understanding on this (plus all the things like the crashes) makes it feel as if I'm walking a tightrope here. Should I eventually penetrate the fog of ignorance and I discover I've only been 3 foot off the ground the whole time  Wonderful!...Result, but I'm inclined to proceed with extreme caution 'till then. But another landscape question has 'cropped up' (just can't resist them puns). The Landscape 'default/NONE/texture' is sort of olive green, correct? Until you go beyond the Pip-boy map... then it becomes a sand-tan colour? What gives? How can you have two default colours, or is inside/outside over-painted with another colour as opposed to a texture. And how can I paint sand-tan inside the Pip-boy area as default - and no file size cost? As it's my ambition to texture around 400! currently empty cells, the last may be an difficulty.
