jaysus
@malware not being illegal in most countriesshouldnt it be? its basicly the same as someone breaking into my home, spraying graffittis in my living room, resorting my furniture, placing a cupboard in front of my front door and then lighting the whole house on fire...hack the fbi page, change its looks and be sure to have the feds ringing your doorbell soon so why doesbt that apply to citizens and only to corporations or government property? @in defense of siteownersthey usually cant choose the ads being shown, they can only select one of few ad providers and most of those are kinda careless actually @anti virus softwarei never had any of them actually clean my system of virii, neither kaspersky nor AV nor mcaffee or any of the others... if they occasionally find em they usually still fail to get rid of boot sector stuff or self reinstalling virii...utterly useless and only slows down your system in my experience.i use spybot for tracking cookies and the like and specialized software for hard nuts like boot sector virii and if all fails a clean reistallation of the osfirewalls or network monitoring tools with block lists also work quite well, peerguardian was quite good, i guess it still is...however they tend to slow your internet connection and block a few too many sites/connections sometimes
ub3rman123
Of all the antispyware programs I've found, common sense seems to be a much better deterrent to viruses. Except for the sneakier viruses. Then the best program tends to be the wipe disks. Didn't someone hack the Windows update program once? It then went and installed the virus onto everyone's computers who had it on. I leave that off now.
evilneko
Hmm I think I would remember that, if WU got pwned. You should leave it on notify at least. Then you can check out message boards like the security forum at DSLReports to see if any problems have cropped up before you download and install them. The one time I've had a computer compromised (well, actually, my dad's, but it was mine to take care of) was due to my falling behind on updates. I couldn't agree more. Its funny, don't you think, that pirating is so vehemently pursued, yet mal-ware goes virtually unchecked. I still say its becasue of money-love. jaysus
and always was... "peaceful" pirates of old also faced the gallows whilst torturing and murdering extortionists usually were protected by the powerful... same goes for pedophiles... they usually face weaker sentences than people who dont pay their taxes lol... dunno... money is simply worth more than humans i guess... sad sad world... heck over here youre not even allowed to punch a home invader in the nuts, he could get hurt and youd face sentencing due to assault -.- i mean WTF is wrong with this world, honestly...?!?!?!???? actually fits the other debates about cap punishment, climate change, weed and so on quite well... all i ask for is some simple common sense and reasoning, is that really too much? Really, common sense can go a long way. Would you rather have a million dollars or a million customers? I would take the people. Sucks that malware can go such a long way too..... There should be a fan-made malware site lol, no money greed here. All well, theres always hope someone will see this and help the struggle, and get rid of some advetisemsnts. But that usually lasts about 2 years usually because, everything protected as stuff gets sloppy and just degrades all over again. Until then there has to be some way to ward off virii besides a complete avoiding of sites... I just want to download my mods, lol.
