hircines alpha werewolf
Ok, i can get Fo3 to run smoothly on my laptop (windows7) and havn't really thought of installing on my main computer untill last night (Xp). I am using Fo3 Goty Edition. All its specs are high enough to play Fo3 smoothly, i acctualy got it to run it... two times. My problem is when i install Fo3, play it will start ONLY the first time i play. After that it brings up a box saying "Fallout3.exe - Ordinal Not FoundThe ordinal 5360 could not be located in the dynamic link libary xlive.dll." It even does this when i try to patch Fo3. The only way i can acctualy play Fo3 is by reinstalling, whitch takes an unbearable amount of time. :wallbash: Could anyone help me at all here? Craigsters
Did you make sure to have the latest version Microsoft Games for Windows - LIVE installed on your PC? and then signed into window live? sign in once and then download Games for Windows LIVE Disabler and enable it and never worry about signing into windows live again!.. I'm pretty sure that error with the xlive.dll has to do with Microsoft Games for Windows - LIVE also you may need the The 25 digit alphanumeric Activation code which is located on a white sticker on the inside of the plastic case where the disc was at and the sticker well say LIVE access Key on it!.. Rabbit1251
If it is Xlive and you are using Fallout Mod Manager there is a setting under "Install Tweaker" that will set up a fake xlive.dll in your game and you won't have to worry about Microsoft. You need to run the game once so it can use the save files or something
Purr4me
The Windows LIVE Disable does not workRe-Enable the (The Windows LIVE Disable does not work) and run the games launcher, establish a running game, wait long enough to get the keys installed into the operating systems registry. Now you can exit and there WILL be an ini file for the other things to base instructions off of.kitty

Also, if you were to read the previous posts, you would have found your solution. You need Games for Windows Live client installed in the Fallout3 file.
