The https is to prevent some man in the middle from intercepting your communication with the site - and all they would get is what you posted anyway. :rolleyes: For those who don't know what https really is - it encrypts the communication between you and the site - it is used to prevent what are known as man in the middle attacks - these attacks are used to intercept sensitive data - such as bank account information, credit card numbers, and other data that you would rather not let the bad guys see. The Nexus doesn't ask for any of that kind of stuff. And, we don't want you to post any of it here either. Any monetary transactions are made through an entirely different method that is not accessible through the Nexus sites. This means that the hackers CANNOT steal your credit card numbers here - because those numbers are just not here at all. :laugh: That said, eventually all internet will be using https and the Nexus will follow suit - Not because what https does is actually required for what we do here, but because that will be the standard. Oh no worries, I wasn't criticizing anyone.I said "most popular" because I assumed Skyrim was the game that generated the most traffic for the Nexus since it has the most files. Static mesh improvement mod and interesting npcs have been "scanning" for more than 24 hours :/ btw loving the new cdn download system. "at least three AV's stating there was something "suspicious" about them. Then I looked up what was so "suspicious" and the answer was that they were compiled by a Microsoft compiler. That's pretty suspicious if you ask me!" If you click the file virus report question mark on each of those files, you will find they all give different results Its an NSIS installer - So quite easy to peak inside with 7zip or WinRAR, no encryption to hide anything I presume all parts of the Nexus are using the same method of checking files. So why the inconsistency ? The system consistently flagged all 3, but for some reason a staff member caught 2 of them, but not the 3rd. The FO3 file is different in file size to the Oblivion and Skyrim files, so not a fair test of consistency, and if you check the AV reports you'll see 4 positives on the Skyrim file and only 3 on the Oblivion file. If you check the report more closely TrendMicro, one of the AV programs (and a relatively big one at that) timed out in the Oblivion file scan, and that explains the 3 versus 4 AV positives discrepancy in the reports.
