What would a Chinese Operative think of the Brotherhood?

Remember that the remnants in mama Dulce is only hostile towards the player because he is American

You make great points but about the remnants. I wonder if alternate starts make them part of your faction? Maybe could use the place as a base with lots of guards.

Very good points. Distablization would very much be part of the mission. I never thought of Tenpenny being such a perfect Capitalist example int he Chinese eyes. Hmm, guess the Ghouls are gettign a new home. =D

I wonder indeed if the Remnants are set to ally using the Alternate Start of Chinese Operative. Hmm. But ah, not sure I chose to be part of a faction, which may kick me later. I forgot they existed while makign the character.

About the remnants i don't know about the alternative starts mod, but it's a simple matter of edit the faction and make friend or neutral with the player. If you not sure if want to be part of it make them neutral is enough as they won't shot you in the sight neither make a welcome comrade party to you . See this as they a little suspicious about you by the decades your family spent in Vault may contaminate you with "wrong ideas" .

The U.S. already is beaten. The Enclave claims to be the legitimate follower of the U.S. Government, but nobody knows that for sure, for all we know there could have been a Coup to topple whatever was left of the American Government and then they called themselves "Enclave". If there where a "real" Government of the US in Hiding somewhere you would even help them by killing of the Enclave.

But even if you where to assume that the enclave is the actual follower of the us government there is very little to fight. The U.S. of A don't exist anymore and there is a group that may or may not be the far off descendants of a Group of People that claimed to be the followers of the U.S. Government, after all, we do know that the Enclave Leaders where killed off from time to time and then someone else took over. I doubt that was legit in any recognizable Way.

There is no U.S.A. anymore and no Government to fight. But let's just assume that the Enclave is the U.S. Government. The overall Objective of a War, most Wars to this Age at least, is to free the People of the Nation from it's Government and the Ideas of that Government which are considered to be wrong.

A Chinese Operative would perceive the Brotherhood as an Ally, because they are also fighting the "U.S. Government". On the other Hand, there is nothing to fight and nothing to fight for. There is no China for which to fight and no USA to fight against and someone who can not see that despite standing in the midst of the Rubble that once was a Nation that was at War with your Nation must have some Kind of mental Illness :D

In the end I suppose I don't want to be stood int he ruins of the Citadel and realise my character has no more goals and that she has killed everyone she knows in the wasteland. That would end the RP on a bitter note.

That might be a good way to end it anyway. Not everything has to have a happy ending. Of course, even after the destruction of the Citadel, there are still the Outcasts to consider. They're Brotherhood too after all, and in fact closer to "real" Brotherhood than Lyons's gang. They'd be worth knocking off.

You could travel to the Pitt and apply Communist ideals there. :3

Anyway, on the ending note: I think it might be good to take some advice from J. Michael Straczynski: never start a story without knowing what the ending will be. The fun is in how you get there.

Also Point Lookout, where you can finish a mission of an old Chinese Spy ( and one of the best side-quest of Fallout 3).

And don't forget Zeta use it to make Communism spread to outer space!
