Sorry for the spam, now oblivion wont run at all

Now, when i try running oblivion out of OBSE, the message "this application has failed to start because 'binkw32.dll' was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." comes up WHENEVER and HOWEVER i try to run oblivion.

 

Again, i am sorry for the spam but the situation changed.

 

Please reply with help.

You could try finding and reinstalling the missing .dll. But if you have lost a dll file, then I would be afraid something else has been lost as well.

 

You may try searching for it and copying it into your Oblivion folder.

I just did a search on my computer for binkw32.dll it showed up in C:\Games\Oblivion, and again in C:\Games\Fallout3.

If you are under Vista or Windows 7 DO NOT install at the default path C:\Program files - actually you should NOT install any game there (as should not install in that "secure folder" any application that relies on another application accessing their data)

I had this problem before, and I fixed it by downloading it from http://www.dll4free.com/binkw32.dll.html and putting it in C://Windows/System. This should get rid of the message popping up when you try to play the game. Good luck!
