Trying to find the right mods?

So, I have a clean installation of Skyrim with all DLC's and HighResTexture packs, etc. I've always had problems with screen stuttering, yada yada yada and trying to fix it never went well and I've never really known specifically what would be optimal for my PC exactly; know about some of the essential mods out there I guess, dunno, but yeah.

AMD FX-4300 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.8GHz

AMD Radeon HD 7770 1GB V-Ram

That's what I'm working with at least. I don't really know too much about where to go and what mods to really get to perfect things to be honest. Anyone can help me out there? Want to get the perfect Skyrim for my PC.

Okay first off install SKSE, SkyUI and Nexus mod manager. Most of the great mods require them.

SKSE(Installer option): http://skse.silverlock.org/

SkyUI: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3863/?

To start you off you can search for most endorsed mods, some mods to start with:

Immersive armors, adds a huge variety of armor sets into your game: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19733/?

Immersive Weapons, adds weapon variety to your game: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27644/?

Enhanced blood textures, makes blood look awesome: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60/?

Climates of Tamriel, improves the weather, lighting: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17802/?

Racemenu, so you can make awesome looking characters using ` showracemenu: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29624/?

Racemenu precache killer, must have mod because it speeds up your racemenu by a lot: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33526/?

SFO, making plant life look awesome, recommend summer edition: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/141/?

Amazing follower tweaks, makes your followers 100x better and adds a lot of extra options: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15524/?

Safety load, prevents crashes and makes loading faster and safer: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46465/?

If you think your PC can handle it install a water mod:

I prefer this water mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41076/?

I wouldn't recommend getting many HD texture mods or an ENB because your FPS would probably drop a bit too much.

If you really want an ENB to make your skyrim look better try the performance version of:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D30936%26preview%3D&pUp=1

Note that installing an ENB takes some work and getting used to and it can be pretty pretty heavy on your GPU.

Thanks for the reply! I don't much care for installing an ENB honestly, I just want the prettiest Skyrim I can get for my specs - I know my specs aren't that good, but they aren't that bad, are they? I figure I can handle a little bit, at least. It's been difficult trying to find things that fit my idea for the most beautiful Skyrim that's in the range of what I can handle. What I truly can't stand is constant screen stuttering which it seems like I can't get past.

skse, skyUI - dont even questions these...

essencial for me:

"Unofficial patches" get them all...

Climates of Tamriel

Realistic lighting overhaul (performance friendly!!!)

Convenient horses

immersive HUD

Deadly Dragons

one of these: warburgs 3d paper world map _OR_ A quality world map with roads

allmost essencial:

Frostfall

AFT (amazing follower tweaks) IF you want to have a follower (i dont like them)

iNeed

The Dance of Death

immersive Creatures

Better quest objectives

if you allready have low fps i reallyreally say dont get a f-ing ENB. no matter what people say they DO hit performance (all of them). RLO does drop my fpy by like 1 or 2... and it does look almost better as most ENB presets i tried^^

Your graphics cards is that bad. 1GB is too low for most fancy graphics mods. Try to disable the HD DLC and see if the stutter is still so intense. The HD DLC is too much for your card in my opinion.

can be a "problem" of your settings as well. You can reduce the quality on different settings and install some grahic mods. On some systems the game looks better and runns smother... its a lot of fiddeling i fear

http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-tweak-guide#1 this guide is by nvidia but it doesnt really aplly to nvidia cards only... the ini tweaks at the end are most intresting.

I reduce the dencity of grass on my system and you dont even notice it (i think) and it enhances performance quite a bit

It's not about the 1gb. I run two systems, one with 2gb and one with 1gb, the 1gb system can run high graphic mods and heavy ENBs with around 50 fps. It's more that the GPU is an old and slow model and the performance is not that great as a result, combined with the fact it's a rather out dated CPU and an AMD GPU (Skyrim hates AMD) it's going to be impossible to run heavy graphics.

Grass on Steroids. I used this and I could run SMIM/SFO full/Skyrim 2K lite/WATER/an ENB (with SSAO and no ENBoost - haven't played Skyrim in a long while, so I didn't have any of these memory improvement mods/utilities that're available now) plus a ton of other mods (although very rarely going over 2k resolution) at around 30fps. According to the Benchmark site, my CPU's somewhat better than yours, but your card is better than mine...so maybe this'll help you as well.

For an actual 'Skyrim-prettification' mod, erm... Tamriel Reloaded?
