Cecil14
The construction set keeps crashing my computer. It's never at a set time or point it seems to be pretty random. Sometimes it'll go for a while and sometimes it'll crash as soon as I open it. It freezes up my whole computer and I gotta reboot. Don't seem to have any problems in the game or with any of the mods I've made so far, just in the editor itself. Making it a real pain to get a mod done. ;) Thanks in advance everyone,Anthony
Ghorgareth
The Cs crashes for me too from time to time. But never that often. I save alot, so I can always recommend that. But in order to understand what the problem is it could be useful to know what system you are using. XP/98 or something, and also wich version of MW you are using, and if you are running any programs in the background at the same time as you mod. Im not a pro at trouble shooting, but I hope I can help you. Atleast this info might make it easier for somebody who is good with handeling problems to give you a hand. Cecil14
Ok here goes. I'm running windows 98 (would like 2k but I'm poor and that's another story :D ) got 512 megs of ram, an AMD 1200, Raideon 7000, Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum, ummmm....directx 9.1b I think...latest one. Got all updated drivers for everything. As for morrowind I've got both expansions and I just reinstalled everything and ran only the bloodmoon patch. Running version 1.6.1820. Same for the constuction set. Anything I'm forgetting? Thanks guys,Anthony
Ghorgareth
As I said im not a pro at trouble shooting. Im using XP, wich is very stable compared to earlier windows versions. Used Windows ME before, and I have noticed that crashes come less frequent now. Perhaps it is your os, but I cant say for sure. Hope that somebody else could give you a hand. Atleast I have tried. ThetaOrionis01
I've got win 98SE, and I can't remember the last time the CS froze...(probably jinxed it now! ) so I don't think it's necessarily your OS. What programs - if any - do you have running in the background? Perhaps there's a conflict there... Any soundcard or graphics cards problem would, I'd have thought, affect the game more than the editor. You could try reinstalling in case you have a corrupted file somewhere. Cecil14
Don't think it's windows. I rarely have problems with that, I personally prefer 98 over XP. I can't stand XP, my dad's got it on his computer and it sucks. It crashes twice as often as mine. Not much running in the background. Umm... explorer, rundll, systray, and atiptaxx (video card). That's it usually. Sometimes I have MSN messenger open as well. It was doing really well last night, went for a couple hours with no problems and that was switching back and forth and opening and closing the game itself to test stuff. Then all of a sudden it crashed. I've got the autosave set to save pretty often (5 minutes) so it's not a huge deal, just a bit irritating. Switch
bizarre. it doesnt sound like the CS has any good reason to crash  like theta said, reinstall and see if that fixes it. apart from that, im stumped

Cecil14
Well, no luck. I was playing with it last night and I went to save it and when I clicked the save button it decided that my computer needed to be restarted and did it for me. :D Oh well. Thanks guys,Anthony
