Jormundgand
Isn´t it Helheim? Like Jotunheim (Kingdom of Giants) Your right offcourse... Should have said Nivlheim. Hel is Loke's daughter and ruler of the ninth level of Nivlheim. Sigh... my mythos knowledge is getting rusty. Better find those good old tomes and start reading again.

Jormundgand
A simple solution to that problem. Read Lotr one more time, it's one of the few books than can be read again and again. Tolkien is simply a genious. Or try out Robert Jordan's Wheel of time. Cant match lotr, but is quite good if you like fantasy. :)
ThetaOrionis01
Ahem..if you want to discuss books or the hideous secret behind Albareth's new title please start a new thread, kthxbye :P The fate of the human race? Well, IMO that depends on whether we can survive the next few hundred years without blowing ourselves up, or making our planet uninhabitable. If somehow we manage to evolve past the greedy tribalism which seems to characterise human society - and somehow avoid being hit by the armageddon asteroid with our name on it - then humankind could theoretically live happlily ever after for the next 4 billion years or so. At which point the sun will have used up it's store of hydrogen and start fusing helium, causing it to expand, boiling away earth's atmosphere and oceans. Tiel
Hmm, well to be honest Theta i'm not sure we're going to last the 4 billion. We've had enough trouble not blowing ourselves up with our nice little A-bombs for the last fifty years. Assuming we overcome the urge to let those loose and make pretty explosions the next danger is probably whether or not we will choke/fry the planet. Escaping that we have the sociological problems of the consequences of running out of resources, maybe overpopulation, religeous fanatics and the other important issues. Role on 4,000,000,000 A.D.! Actually I am a good deal more optimisic than that, partly coz of religeous reasons I suppose but i won't get into that here, i'm sure many of u have had enough of religeon in all the debates here! Switch
LOL 4 billion years that would never happen i give this planet another 100 years. tops. b4 its choked to death by pollution and becomes uninhabitable. hopefully by then tho we'll be able to move on to other planets :P if not, roll on slow and painful death!
