Keanumoreira
I apologize for the description, but moving on. The Earth, as much of us should know, covers over three quarters of the surface of our planet. Unfortunate scientists, biologists, zoologists, you name they've been there, have failed to charter even more than 2% of the ocean. With such a vast plane of undiscoveries waiting to be found, we can only imagine whats beneath. The question only question is, what is it?
Vagrant0
Some sand, some rock, and lots and lots of water.
Fifoo
Dear Keanumoreira, this video could be a good introduction about your seeking. You know sometime music has much to say than words, it looks like you're entering in a new dimension and oceans are so vast, perhaps could you find some in it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-227YB2LbyQ&feature=channel [edit]Viewing this video on full screen is way better for a total immersion.Pink Floyd's song has a duration of 24:38 in full version - it's a cut off here. Maharg67
Some sand, some rock, and lots and lots of water. There have already been amazing discoveries made in the ocean deeps that surprised people greatly. Amazing new lifeforms surrounding ocean volcanic vents. Other creatures roving through the depths that have made us question many of our assumptions about nature in general and biology in particular. We have found life that not only survived in amazingly harsh conditions but evolved under those conditions to become amazingly well adapted to them. What else may we find down there? Or will it find us one day?
slygothmog
Some sand, some rock, and lots and lots of water. Love It! There's also lots and lots of methane crystals down there, that even now people are trying to figure out how to bring to the surface ( i only read this in a magazine, so dont shoot me if it's wrong ), just one more of mans attempts to exploit the earth in the name of greed. Balagor
Whatever lives there will probably be left in peace by humans, for a while. Pressure at 15.000 feet is around 500 bars. No vehichle can take such a pressure. At the Phillipines some waters are even 30.000 feet, meaning 1000 bars.

Chaosblade02
In the deepest parts of the ocean, deeper than technology will allow us to go, there are probably lots of unknown species of marine plants and sea life, and underwater volcanoes and vents, nothing terribly interesting.
