Only one explanation... welcome to the nexus.. the world of the slug connection..

The real explanation is.. the download port are CAPPED for non paying members you see... the top i get is 150kb... on a 30mb/s connection, even though the cap is supposed to be 500kb/s i came to realise something here on the nexus you cant get the top download speed... if i need a to DL a huge mod i go on planetelderscroll, which allows me to DL at 1mb/s+

Both of you are in Europe and there are no normal download servers located in Europe, hence the slower speeds.

Well i have an idea...why dont lv000 premium member...Maybe that will do the trick...I mean its not expencive...Is it?

Because i never pay over the internet. I payed for a game over steam and i never got the game or my money back...so forget paying.

And 20 GBP is not cheap, 5 is cheap but 20 is not.

It depends on what you want...There is a subscription for every need. You could download most of the large files within a months time, if you'd like to have that for a longer period you take another. I've downloaded most files I wanted after my single months subscription, but I added a 3 month subscription to that when I knew about the enormous bill that has to be paid to keep this place alive and running. The more users/bandwith used..the higher the bill, it's a required limit...not a fancy way to earn money...they don't.

Pronam's correct.

I spent maybe 2 years without Premium, before I finally manned up and bought a subscription. I don't download much anymore, so I have no real need of the subscription. However, if you think about how much the Nexus provides to the community - its absolutely worth supporting.

If you want to think of it another way - for the cost of a subscription, you're expanding your game hundreds of times over. You can pay for a new game, or you can pay to support a site which provides the equivalent of hundreds of new games.

Either way, I don't think you should be complaining about the free download speeds.
