I feel stupid. You need to delete that folder, the uninstall does not completely remove it, it is that remaining you see there. Just to be on the secure side: Obviously it's not enough creating some folder if the installation yet is done with the 'default' path, do as LHammonds told you. SiniVII
You might have to start the Oblivion Launcher and go into the 'Data Files', then check mark the mods you desire to have in your game. Although you should rather use Oblivion Mod Manager instead of the Oblivion Launchers Data Files tab.
watdocdude
Er...Did you think I was still using the default path for installation? I don't feel that stupid. But I'll just try reinstalling it again. I dunno what I'm doing wrong.
Fonger
just out of curiosity are there any zip or rar or 7z or Omod files in your data folder? is there a folder named data in your data folder
watdocdude
I know how to install mods. Like I said I've been doing it for a long time. It's just this new computer that's screwing me up. I'm using 7z to extract the files to my data folder. I've always just done it the manual way.
watdocdude
Will it work if I just install it into program files and use Obmm?
watdocdude
I can't get it to work at all. Even using OMODs won't work for me. It's starting to really frustrate me. I have a bunch of remnants of Oblivion files all over the place now it seems, and to top it off I can't use any mods.
bben46
Lets start at the beginning. This not only removes the game, but the left over registry entries as well. After you have completed the uninstall portion, including the registry cleaning, look to be sure the folder is gone. if it is still there erase it before starting the reinstall part. Any left over parts of oblivion should be in folders with new names somewhere besides where they originally were. Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexushttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=

watdocdude
Guh. Still the mod doesn't work. I'm trying to get the alternate start, arrive by ship working by the way. Another thing is, when I put it into the C:/Games folder that I created, it doesn't make another folder for Oblivion, it just puts the Data folder in with the oblivion files, which makes it disorganized. Would it be okay to install it to C:/Games/Oblivion? And would I have to go through the trouble of deleting the registries again to uninstall?
