Guest Messenjah
Ok, so I'm wondering where I could find some royaltee free music? Anyone know of any good resources? I'm working on a nightclub for fallout and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good resource for free royaltee free music that would belong in a high class nightclub? pob255
http://www.archive.org is also a good placeIf you want fallout style 40's and 50's music, http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=%28collection%3A78rpm%20OR%20mediatype%3A78rpm%29%20AND%20-mediatype%3Acollection&sort=-avg_rating%3B-num_reviews There's also a lot of creative commons stuff, http://www.archive.org/details/netlabels Note on Creative-commons license, check the exact wording of the license, most are free for use as long as they are not edited, used for profit and full credits are given to the original creators.I would say with any creative-commons stuff, e-mail the original creators to ask permission and let them know what you are planning to do with their music. (even if you are following the rule of the creative-commons license, you never know what might come from contacting them and many artists would be interested to know what you're doing with their material. Rabbit1251
I do not know about the legalities, but I heard from one of the Moderators that if it predates 1960 it is permissible on this forum. Rabbit
Guest Messenjah
I don't mind contacting the author at all. To give you all a better idea of what type of music I'm looking for exactly: It is a nightclub owned by a mob family built inside a vault. It is very classy and has a very Las Vegas feel. It is basically a mood setter for a nightclub complete with exotic dancers. It has a lot of neon signs, some nice stages, speakers, a bar with new cocktail glasses and wine glasses, red curtains everywhere and even a working disco ball. :) Basically a nice setting for somewhat of a classic nightclub style. Anyway, I need some music to suite that but I'm almost thinking about going trance/techno as there are a lot of individual artists out there that create their own with fruity loops or acid. I'd rather find something with a more classic feel though. Any ideas?
xarian
Do a Goggle for "Mark A Pullen" , look for the LastFM link (sorry im in a slight rush & i cant find the link here) A vast variety of music has been made by the man.. and its all Free to use.. especially for modders & game devs as Mark likes to shoot things too.. I used his music extensively in my Freelancer mod and it worked real nice (both techno tracks & some mega heavy stuff). Still not shure if i'll use anything for FL3.. im still in the "planning" stages for whatever mod im about to make (lolz), but for a disco/nightclub mod.. hmm... it may just be the thing u need  Oh and .. hehe.. Hia EVERYONE!! Im Xarian.. & i "live to mod" Expect more from me as i learn more about this new toy called Fallout3 ive decided to play with. For a mob-style Vegas nightclub you'd probably want cheesy 1950s ballads and 50s-era danceband-type stuff, and Youtube is probably your friend there. Or you could think about the original mob-run Chicago nightclubs & speakeasys from the 1920s/1930s and look for jazz from that era, which featured in a lot of those places. There are plenty of enthusiasts' resources on the web for that kind of stuff. It all depends on how modern you want it to look & sound, really. Sounds like an interesting place though ;)
