Come on guys we are almost at 70 posts.....wait this is the 71st :D

 

anyways... doese anybody know of any wheel of time mods other than the Wheel of Time classes mod I heard that guy was working on an emonds field mod but I can't find it.....if there are none then there is a request for this thread if anybody can that would be imaculet thank you I would give kudos and prais for the rest of my time on this forum lol.

My computer isn't working with Oblivion or the TESCS at all....sad

so that means no luck on the Lights mod at all and there wont be untill I can get Oblivion working again : (

Update;

-Arena coming along nicely. Bit disappointed about missing collision, not allowing me to use the stands.

-Expanding village/town. Recent answers on this forum allowed me to use the heightmapeditor, making me able to actually build something nice.

-Getting confused by overflow of resources :S

-Making few simple trophys

-Little tweakings

-Making guards/military

-Still not being able to make someone sit with me :l

I'd like to, but don't know if I should. Before releasing my mod, I'd have to find out who to give credit for resources and who to ask for permission. I think it'll be frowned upon to upload screens without fixing this... (strict community hah... like it though, creates politeness) I will distill some things and maybe contact some people if necessary before releasing anything important.

 

I will do my best to provide screenies of 'safe' nature as soon as possible. Haven't ever taken screenshots ingame before either, so I'll have to look into that too.

 

Update;

-Probable future plans for groupproject, already have one vote.

-Distilling nonsense and not-safe-for-all content from my mod.

-Slowly but surely building city

-Sitting together - and arena still giving me trouble. Will appreciate any help on the sitting part dearly.

Any form of suggestion, inspiration, or whatever is very welcome. I make no promises to my succes or willingness thereoff, but hey.... helping, suggesting, and debating is what this community is for, right?

 

 

I'm only just beginning ofcourse, but I'd like to thank you all allready. I follow many sites and communities, and have so for a long time, but always stayed back or simply left due to their nature. This community is not only friendly, nice and polite, but actually helps me along, encouraging me to help others. Therefore;

Well very glad to hear you are making progress and well thank you for the thanks lol I was wondering will there be taverns and shops in your city or are you just plannning a small one?

 

Also what is the prog on the Arena this is what I am most interested in : D

 

also will you be adding sewers to the city if so you could put a col dungeon crawlers expidition in there maby a small quest (like all the others lol) to get a ring or something but the main idea would be to explore and kill all the monsters and such ehh just a poor idea but it might work... lol

Sorry to disappoint you Shadow, but no sewers... think of it more as a big village than a town if you like.

 

Taverns, most likely, but not sofar. Shops definitely :P Quests...? Sorry, not my field.. lots of scripted things though :D

 

On the arena... well, sofar I have it physically in place. I stripped the interior, and removed all nonsense-scripts.

Right now I'm working on the combatant system. Still.. I'm hard to please you know ;)

Well still wicked um about the arena a cool idea would be to make it so you can sit on stone benches that go all the way around.

 

 

About the quests what about them do you not do? is it the scripting, idea making, or what I can do the ideas for you I am just BURSTING with them at all hours!

 

 

Well I am sad to announce that my Video Card has well been toasted the capacitors burst overnight (Scary S*** when you wake up to it lol

That is why I have not been posting frequently I can't Play Oblivion on my integrated and even the CS won't work at all... :( : ( : (

 

Well the lights thing wont happen..at least from me I did a reinstall of Vista so lost all my stuff (Had a HUGE virus) and so the only thing I can do is well tell everyone that if you want the plan for how to do it (not yet perfected) for secrecy matters so you don't have competitors just PM me and I will attempt to explain it the best I can with out the Notes I had on my Desktop.

I feel for you, man... sad s*** when a computer fries, had it fry on me completely about 2 years ago (actual small puff of smoke came out). Can properly ruin your day :P

 

As for the quests, it's not ideas I'm lacking, but the ability to work the odd-structured quests / dialogs.. Scripting and ideas are just my thing :P lol it's the rest

 

As for the arena, yeah, one of the first things I did was put an extra door in so you could enter the spectator ring (so to speak), but I found out this unfortunately has no collision, making me drop into the black void :(

Lol starting to feel like I've been hiding under a rock by now, but I've never played morrowind :P

 

I myself (as read on profile) tend to build to things from scratch, all with scripting... Favourite part and somewhat of my specialty is creating 'AI', but this whole CS seems somewhat (to say the least) C / Java based. Don't get me wrong, object-based-programming/scripting is definitely the way to go, but going from pro on my own terrain to newbie on this terrain can be somewhat frustrating.. making me a bit unwilling to learn all the parts of this editor.... Feeling a bit restricted, if you know what I mean.

 

Scripting wise, though, I'll keep doing my best. May still take a while to finish the whole thing, especially now I've also taken up a groupproject with a few other members (the Sutch-project). Better late than never huh :P
