DagonTheranis
Now, I know that Admins and moderators have to use a different colour to differentiate from regular posting, but could it not be yellow? I don't know about the dark theme, but with the blue theme it's nearly impossible to see, and that takes away all the glorious schadenfreude of reading why someone's been banned. I know it sounds odd to make a suggestion like this, but it also prevents the people who have the punishments adminstered from knowing what they did wrong. Why not use red instead? It immediately gives an image of authority, and it should show up well on all themes.
buddah
Actually after the change to the new forum skins we changed to use this color, which displays well on all skins.
LHammonds
Well, initially, there was only the dark theme and yellow looked good for the forums and TESNexus. Then came along FO3Nexus and DANexus and those color themes still worked OK with the yellow text. It was only until the recent forum upgrade that a new light theme was made available on the forum site. Yellow still shows up well on the Nexus sites and the Dark Theme forum but not the light forum. So, I created a [ mod ] BBCode that only moderators can use which uses a gray background and yellow forground which color seems to display best no matter which skin you are using on the forum....however, the catch is that on the Nexus sites, the [ mod ] tag is not recognized in the CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) so it just looks like normal text. Lately, I have been falling back to the yellow text whenever I am making comments in the uploaded files area since most people will be viewing the comments from the mod pages (Nexus sites). Anywhere else on the forums, I will use the MOD tag which will display like this For any postings prior to the forum upgrade, those will remain yellow since we have no automated way of going back to update them...but if we stick with the MOD tag, that can change in the future to whatever color we want and old posts will change color as we update the MOD BBCode value. So.....Dark0ne, can we get the MOD tag added to the *Nexus sites to display similar to how the forum BBCode is displayed for consistency? Vagrant0
I think the best solution is just to have everything said multiple times in different colors just to be safe... Can't say you didn't see it then right?I think the best solution is just to have everything said multiple times in different colors just to be safe... And I even did it in rainbow just so it's less spammy :) But anyway, I usually use the orange for smaller edits, and the special mod tag for stuff I want seen. I could probably use magenta instead, but I'm not sure I'd be taken too seriously then. Edited May 19, 2010 by Vagrant0

LHammondsYes, you should stop before someone comes along and reports you for your offensive statements.
