farlin
I have heard rumers that Oblivions rating will be changed to M due to previously unnoticed levels of blood and gore. Tell me that this is not true.

theRx
Yep, blood+nekkidness=M. The nude female torso mesh I can understand, making it easy on modders so they don't have to work around the bra on any given mesh they're making, but the "details" they have on the texture, that just has no reason to be there. Seriously, the only people that would really "enjoy" that are those hentai anime whatever freaks...if you read this and happen to be one, I hate you. >:(
SoulBlazer_87
Actually these "nude mods" give a tiny bit of realism. You don't have to use the if you don't want (congrats on hypocritic putitans, at least most are). Personnaly I enjoy these mods in order to admire the beuty i'm not m**********g or anything. And eother while I like anime I'm not a freak, and please don't hate so much. See I like metal music and most people in my school would start hitting me simply because they liked ethnic or pop though I never said I did not like their kind of music. So I have bitter memories about it. Poor fools, they never understood anything... Learn to understand everybody's different aspects. Otherwise you'll end up with very few friends... it would be very sad wouldn't it?
FastRedPonyCar
Nude female mesh? I thought all the female characters had undies? I've been in plenty of crypts and necromancer dungeons and never seen any nude torsos either.
Cyborg16
It's not in the game, it's just that the texture's included so you can use it to replace the normal chest texture. But why anyone would want to when there are much better nude mods out there I don't know (I'm not going to discuss whether or not nudity is a good thing). But why are so many people going on about the nudity? I'm more inclined to believe that the rating change was to do with the violence (perhaps with the nudity thing being an excuse more than anything else). SoulBlazer_87
That should be true. A company like bethsoft cant burden herself with things like nudity. Thats just excuses. Besides why someone go through the trouble to replace unknown to himself textures to get "upper body nudity" and not just download a mod. In regards to mods I'm sure a parent can control a childs access to the internet, not to mention that Oblivion is mostly an "adult" game. Adult in the way that it does not interest 13 year old children instead targeted to older more "matured" people who like a serious game withmany options and twisting plots rather than a seeenemy-kill enemy-thought, without claryfying who, why, and what. Thus I believe the M rating was given due to the gore and realistic (more or less) fighting.

Very young casual gamer may find it too long, too big, complicated. By the way - it strange what peoples, who give ratings discovered the nude meshes, but left unnoticed many biologicaly correct models. Like a horse with it's er... thing. Or minotaur with it's huge er... things. :D And I don't mean horns.
Mercbird
He he he, wonder what they would rate a trip to the farm as, what with all those ... not horns around :D I suppose I can understand the need for parents to have an easy guide to help them buy suitable games for their kids. What I dont get is the parameters they use to decide such ratings. Do they really thing that their kids don't notice that they are naked and in most cases anatomically correct (thingies and all) under their clothes, and naked in a bath? Oh I forget we all bath with our clothes on...Blood, guts and gore I suppose would merit some warning but I have certainly seen more graphic 'teen' rated games than Oblivion. Personally I'm glad that the rating has changed to mature, I dont like to be thought of as playing 'teen' games... ;D
