Ha, yeah... I didn't know where else to post this. It's a modding problem, but it's not directly related to the Nexus. I can't seem to load any files with Blender, whatsoever. No NIFs, no OBJs, nothing. None of my scripts show up in the scripts config editor window either. Not a single one. I've double and triple checked my installation and pathnames. I've ran Blender as a debug and the only error I get on loading is "BPyMenus error: Wrong 'Name' line: flt_filewalker.py" I honestly don't have a clue what that means, but I checked and the file is there and I cannot perceive any problems with it. I need to be able to access these files so I can change the NIF version value to 20.0.0.4. Yes, I'm a noob. But I am anxious to begin creating my own meshes and I seem to be hitting one brick wall after another.

Before anyone flames me, I HAVE posted this issue on the BlenderArtists.org forums. I'm just trying to cover any bases that may expedite a response. Thank you in advance for any help.

Hmhm, just a guess. You used the latest version of all programs involved?

If you did, you're not working in the right way. There are only compatible versions, like the ones assembled here.

You can take the latest PyFFI and Nifscripts. But you can't use later versions than Python 2.6.5 and blender 2.49b as any other are not compatible with the first two programs yet. (or at least not with nifscripts.)

Amazing! I haven't read anything about version incompatibility before this. Thank you VERY much. I'm downloading the appropriate files now. You're a life-saver.

The best place to ask may be the Blender Artists forums; that's where all the Blender gurus hang out.

Well, looks like he already did......apparently.

Yes, all these programs are VERY-MUCH dependent upon each other and will only work if the other program(s) are a certain version.

Blender NIF Scripts relies on a certain version of PyFFI. PyFFI relies on certain versions of Python. Blender relies on certain versions of Python (if Blender cannot find the right version of Python, no scripts will work but you could still create models but no import/export)

Ugh... I really thought that was gonna do it. I'm getting different errors in the debug panel now and still no scripts... It now says that flt_properties.py also has "Wrong 'Name' line" and it says scripttemplate_ipo_.py's menu name is already in use and suggests I edit it and change it's name. It goes on to tell me that if I want two scripts for the same menu with the same name, I should keep one in the default directory and the other in the user defined. Lastly, it says, "COULDN'T CREATE ENTRY FOR: SCRIPTTEMPLATE_IPO_GEN.PY" This is clearly the problem, I just don't know what's causing it. I did however go to the default directory and check it out, it's completely empty. I had installed there initially, but I uninstalled it and all that was left was a few empty folders. Which I oddly cannot delete. Says they're being used. I'm gonna restart my laptop.

The best thing is to get rid of all the 4 programs and then installing 1 version of all of them. As if for instance python 2.5 and 2.6 are both there, one program might install its files based on 2.5 and others on 2.6, thus many conflicts. Start off with a clean slate!
