Thicketford
If the original animations are packed in BSAs, like 'JasmineMcCoy' said, then you might just be able to delete the new ones to restore your game.

Your savegames are lost! Just kidding, they're saved in "my documents" and you should be able to continue with your saves once your animations are back in place. It is bad practice to suggest that the original files are lost and that he has to reinstall them. Unless he extracted the bsa of the original skyrim and overwrote them it is impossible. It's like saying that you have to tear your house down and build it anew because of a leaking sink. The fix is simple open your zipped mod look at the files inside and delete those of your skyrim data folder. Animations are easy to fix.
Xelan255
I just assumed he had overwritten them, as he had written in the initial post. I didn't remember that the animations are stored in the .bsa files, so I took his overwriting statement literally. With the animations in .bsa in mind a re-install is of course unnecessary and the removal of the mod files should do the trick. If the unused FNIS-generator wasn't the source of the issue though. Nyquist
Actually after having read another thread where someone extracted their bsa replaced a texture and then recompressed it it seems that your assumption makes sense ( ^ω^)
PsiComa
For the sake of closure, it did work itself out when I got to install FNIS correctly. As for the animations I installed, I liked many of them except the way exaggerated female walk. So if I understand the above thread correctly, deleting the associated files will simply revert that animation to normal? I'm a bit worried about messing up my game by deleting files and stuff. That is probably for another topic, but I'll just throw it out there for now..
