NewThalos
The number one way for you to increase game memory is to update your SKSE (current build is v1.7.1) because it utilizes several legacy memory tweaks, making them obsolete, and more integrative. List of tweaks that the new SKSE made obsolete:SSME - Skyrim Startup Memory EditorSkyrim Memory PatchSafety Load And to those who are code savvy, I've included the recent changelog as well. Reveal hidden contents 1.7.1:- fixed IsValidRace for armor races- added MagicEffect.GetCasting/DeliveryType- fixed crash when calling UpdateWeight on non-facegen Actors- GetTotalItemWeight computed correctly for non-players- added Potion.IsPoison, GetUseSound- added Weapon.GetTemplate- added Ammo.IsBolt, GetProjectile, GetDamage- added Game.GetDialogueTarget- added SKSETaskInterface::AddUITask- serialization understands deleted forms- added SKSEMessagingInterface- plugin messages sent on save, preload, postload, delete- WornObject.GetDisplayName returns base form name if no display name is present- added WornObject, ObjectReference.GetPoison- DirectX SDK now required for compilation- fixed WornObject slot/mask lookup- added NetImmerse.SetNodePosition- added Actor.GetFurnitureReference- added Game.GetCurrentCrosshairRef- added NetImmerse.GetRelativeNodePositionX/Y/Z- added Actor.Set/ResetExpressionPhoneme/Modifier- added Form.HasWorldModel, Get/SetWorldModelPath/NumTextureSets/NthTextureSet/SetWorldModelNthTextureSet- added HeadPart.IsExtraPart- added Form.IsPlayable- added ObjectReference.GetAllForms Aside from SKSE, there are no more magic bullets but there are things you could do to help increase stability and FPS by utilizing the following tools: ENB. What people most commonly use ENB series for is to enhance graphics and effects. But assuming you kept everything stock and just utilized the ENB core (that includes ENBoost) that would certainly give your gameplay performance some much needed love. But if you don't have a reasonably decent machine and good video card, I would not recommend using a full blown ENB preset, (aka RealVision, Sharpshooter, Serenity, etc, etc). Stable uGridsToLoad. This tweak allows a more stable uGridToLoad environment, although I highly recommend not increasing your uGridToLoad for numerous reasons, including quest breaking side affects, poor performance, etc--- and it sounds like you wouldn't be asking your original question if you hadn't already experienced issues with performance. The beauty about this tweak is that users have seem greater stability while using it even when they're still at the default uGridsToLoad=5 and so there is no real harm in using it. HiAlgo Chill.Without question or inkling of doubt, this is on my Skyrim must-have list. For more information, check out the link I provided. HiAlgo Boost.Fully Skyrim supported, but if you already use ENB, then DO NOT USE THIS. Because it's already included within ENB. What this is however, is a nifty way for you to intelligently do what ENBoost does but without all of the ENB bells and whistles. For more information, check out the link I provided, and do not forget to read the FAQ for setup. I don't use this because I already use ENBoost built into RealVision. CTD and Memory patch ENBoost. Meh... this is already included with all ENB binaries v0.200 and above, so it's sort of obsolete if you use ENB already, and if I recall, there was a reason why I stopped using this in the first place. Better to just use ENB or HiAlgo Boost. And at the end of the day, getting a faster video card with a higher amount of VRAM is always going to be your greatest memory boosting "trick" for Skyrim. I hope this information helps you. Good luck and happy modding! Edited September 8, 2014 by SkyrimCliff
bojanni
You can set the VideoMemorySizeMb to the size of your video card's memory. Usually 2048 if you have 2 GB card or 4096 if you have 4GB card.

The formula you quotes asks for your VRAM (virtual ram, aka, the ram inside your video card) and while you did list your video card, you did not list what your video card's VRAM is, so therefore, we do not have the necessary information to answer your question. Is your 770 the 2gb card, 3gb, or 4gb? Also, that said... there is a whole ton of conflicting information on this topic and there are a lot of variables that go into play that go beyond just your VRAM, physical RAM, etc. There are tons of guides out there on this subject, I suggest trying some of suggestions that people have already listed 10,000 times across the internet and seeing which works best for you. Best way to check what works best for you is to start with a stock load order, use the cheat command to spawn 15 monsters, and proceed to fight them. Observe the results, and then try a higher parameter, rinse and repeat.

camaro_69_327
Still missing one piece of the puzzle.....the amount of RAM you have in the system... ""Open enblocal.ini and set the VideoMemorySizeMb parameter (e.g. VRAM + RAM - 2048) to set the setting fill in you amount of RAM lets say you have 8 GB of system RAM... 8 GB system RAM (if you have a different amount replace the here)+2 GB VRAM (your Video card)-2 GB (2048) This is subtracted so the system never runs our of System RAM. Would net you 8 GB for the setting...8192 would be a safe setting. This is also in my SIG....With Quotes from Boris..creator of ENB.
