Lardtree3
I'm not terribly familiar with how to do this sort of this so I figured I'd ask her and someone might be able to point me in the right direction. I wanted to resize this weapon mod (Sanwas Sword) as well as hopefully remove the effects from it. I don't really have any idea where to start with this so if someone could give me some tips that would be great. Thanks!
TehBuddha
To remove the effects, open the CS, then open the weapons entry. There should be a box that says 'Enchanting', click on it, then scroll up to the top of the drop-down box and select 'none'. After that, in the box that says 'Enchantment', there should be a number. Change it to zero. There you go, enchantment removed  Im not ure about scaling though, I've never really tried modeling...

The script effects that are bound to the weapon like the blue flame and red circle things. Can I do that in CS too?
Lardtree3
I'll just bump this once before trying over in Requests (probably should have gone there first  )
TehBuddha
If its scripts you want to get rid of, theres a box above ecantments that says 'scripts'. Just scroll to the top of that and select none. That should work :

That should work :3 Hmm, I tried that but it says it doesn't have any scripts attached and I don't know enough about modding to think of another way those effects are being applied. Even just a resize would be great, would I need NIFSkope or something to do that?
Genzel
From what I know, I believe NifSkope is required for resizing, short of any sort of a detailed 3d modeling program, and anything that isn't covered by scripts or enchantments, which is what it looks like. If you do try out NifSkope, all you will need to do is right click the object in the rendering window, and choose transform>edit and then scale it. Not sure about the other thing you mentioned, but NifSkope might possibly be able to remove that as well, but I'm not sure.

After fooling around in NifSkope I managed to remove the flame effect and the red circles, but I'm still trying to re size it properly as it appears to be made of several parts. Still, progress! Thanks for the tips so far guys!
Freelancer604
I would love to learn how to resize weapon meshes as well, or any meshes for that matter!
Lardtree3
I played with the scale in NifSkope, but it didn't seem to have any effect on the sword in game. The sword's mesh has multiple pieces and it doesn't seem that I can select it as a whole so I've sort of hit a wall. Can someone who's done this sort of thing before shed some light?
