koolaid_man
So, I remember browsing around Google a while ago looking for a Warhammer Online model viewer, the general issue here is that WAR uses a .geom mystery file format for it's character, monster, armor, and weapon files. However, the world geometry, like trees, rocks, and buildings, are viewable. See, a loophole of this is, in the instance Bastion Stair, there is a boss with tonnes of health and armor, he has clones of his armor sitting on a table nearby. Seeing as these pieces are parts of the environment, they should be viewable, assuming they use the normal inanimate object file format. These pieces are of the helmet and shoulders from the Sentinel / late T4 armors for the Chosen. So, all I'm saying is in theory, someone could open the file from WAR, and convert it to an Oblivion style model. But that may have some legality issues. Although if someone were to, say, edit it slightly, there would be no actual proof of the same model, it just happens to be a scratch-built almost identical piece. Maybe filling out the interior of the helmet, or taking away the "glowing eyes" and making the visor transparent. I lack the knowledge of making Oblivion models, or doing anything beyond the most basic with 3ds max, it may behoove someone who happens to have WAR installed to "check it out". I can link you a mod on modb that has done exactly that with my own models

The thing is, even if you say, "This thing is Warhammer Online's property" or something, my experience is that it gets forcefully removed. All this is is a way to keep it up through technicalities, not actually trying to fool someone. Sorry again about the jerkface who took your thing. Pronam
The trouble is that people will know it. And once it is the user that uploaded or are linked to it will get banned. Using assets from others games is not allowed and this site will never risk getting in trouble for it as it has been in the past because of these 'jokes'.
