ReddFighter
Alright, so, might as well say I am not new to modding. Everything is running smoothly, other than some lag here and there (most likley from the intense retexture mods). Now, straight to the point, Some NPCs (when holding a gun, obviously) is in the hand-to-hand stance and there is a floating, upside down gun next to their right hand. I have looked this up, and other than some forum discussions of people complaining about it, I have found no solution. It really irritates me, because it takes away from the experiance. :wallbash: Also, sometime after I reinstalled Fook 2 v1.0 and Fook 2 Iron sights, some NPCs (notably BoS and Raiders) have went berserk when shooting their weapons. They look up and shoot off a couple of rounds, then quickly look at their feet and fire again. They will repeat this until their target is dead, and will go back to a normal stance. The weird thing is, they hit their targets even though they are shooting at the sky and ground. Does this animation glitch have something to do with Fook2 or Fook2's iron sights mod? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Fonger
this seems to be a very rare issue saw a thread today about this issue that was actually over a year old, possibly two. now seeing another thread about it again today. You got ahold of a really bad and thoroughly outdated mod. You might wanna look into the other recent threads about this issue to see if they had any luck Otherwise its an unknown condition. pkleiss
I can't say I know how to fix it in someone else's mod. But when I encounter this in my own mods, I know how to fix it. Unless these other mod's authors took the time to do this trick, I don't think you'll be able to fix it unless you want to use some console commands on the NPCs every time it happens. I also don't know why it happens. But the fix is this: Give the NPC a new weapon. Have them equip it. Then take that weapon away. That will force them to re-equip their weapons and usually, this remedies the upside-down-floating-gun-with-the-NPC-in-an-unarmed-stance bug. I have scripted this sequence on a few NPCs where, in game, they exhibited this behavior. For the console commands, you would have to do this: NPCRef.AddItem [some weapon ID] 1NPCRef.EquipItem [some weapon ID]NPCRef.RemoveItem [some weapon ID] 1 You can also, just click on the NPC in the console and skip the 'NPCRef.' part of those commands. I don't know about your other problem, but I fnd that FOOK is very buggy.
ReddFighter
@Fonger You were right. Fook 2 v1.0 apparently was the problem, because when I upgraded to v1.1, It solved the weird shooting animation that the NPCs were doing before. @pkleiss Thanks for the script, I will most likley use it if I come across the upside down gun glitch again. I havn't seen it ever since I upgraded to FOOK2 v1.1, but that doesnt mean it wont happen again  Thanks again guys ;D
pkleiss
Hey, I'm gald it was a mod issue that you could readily fix. That sure beats hitting the console over and over.
CommandantOreo
I get upside down guns on people for the console too. Forty is known to do it alot
FoxiShandris
That berserk shooting animation isn't a problem with FOOK, as I'm plagued by it, too, and I don't have FOOK installed.
hawaii18k
I also ran into this problem with Sidney, and Clover, think thats her slave companion name. For me it happens many time when I zone, especially right off starting game. Stay out doors long enough, than problem goes away. This is what I do. For follower, access their inventory. For Sidney, or other temp follower, go to console, "~", and click on follower, type "disable" and without exiting console, type "enable" right away. This kinda resets them. Or if too lazy to do these, than I just save. Exit game to Main Menu, and load up the saved game. If you just reload, it won't work. Has to restart from the Main Menu. Its Bethesda glitch. Have fun.
