Starship Troopers- Robert A. Heinlein. Great book, although incredibly short.

 

Also, go read A Fire Upon the Deep by Vernor Vinge. Amazing book.

Just finished Voltaire's 'Candide'...again. Classic 17th Century satire. Probably tackle Boulle's 'La Planète des singes' (Planet of the Apes) next. Brutal social commentary and NOT like the movies at all. *sighs* Yes, I read French Literature.
