Hi guys.

This might sound wierd and it might be my fault, by iäve tried to google it and can't find any solution.

I have two mods for my Assault carbine rifle. Assault Carb. ext. mags and Assault Carb. Light Bolt. But as i said, i can't use any of them.

Is there something special i have to do, or am i doing it wrong?

the weapon mods could be from a different game mod

or you are trying to modify a unique assault carbine that cannot be modded (yes each weapon needs to have the flag set individually in the geck)

this mod may be userful - http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44515/?

it can tell you what mods the weapon can actually use

I have the same problem which seems to come in the latter stages of my game. I just tried the mod Fonger suggests and it will permit me to remove the silencer that I had installed on the 12.7mm machine gun, but I cannot install the extended magazine on it nor the custom bolt to my Anti Material Rifle. Thank you, Fonger, for the suggestion. though.

Mr. Minlillaponny, here are some things that I've found out. Using the mod suggested by Mr. Fonger earlier, The Weapon Mod Menu, I found that I couldn't mod an Anti-Material Rifle even though mods were sold for it and I even had one in inventory. My 12.7mm machine gun would only take one mod, the silencer. I bought a second 12.7mm machine gun from the Gun Runner's Arsenal DLC this time and it would take all three mods. The damaged assault carbine in my inventory refused all mods or repairs, but a second damaged assault rifle that I found in my gun locker would accept mods and could be repaired by using the first assault carbine.

This is all very queer to my way of thinking. Maybe it has something to do with the Gun Runner's Arsenal. They do sell two types of the same firearm one marked (GRA) and the other without. Do you use that DLC?

Well that's what happens when you've got a hare brain. You make erroneous presumptions. I had thought that the stock and GRA models were pretty much the same. Silly rabbit. I have made the corrections in my inventory at the cost of many caps and things are looking much better now. Thank you, Fonger, for showing me the light. I hope that the OP is still monitoring this and it answers his problem.
