Just got Windows 7...

Not all that impressive really. I've seen DX9 do very similar, if not the same, effects. The only one I'm not really sure about is the lighting effect in the first Age of Conan set.

 

I'm waitin for a game--a good, must-have game, like say, Fallout 4, or Mass Effect 3--that doesn't offer DX9 rendering at all. That's pretty much what it'll take. I believe the differences aren't so impressive now because of the need to include DX9 support, and we'll only see major improvements once it's dropped. :teehee:

I just played around some, and I am amazed by the customization ability now. I thought it'd be terrible and I'd be stuck with that weird icon-based toolbar. Now I've managed to change around everything, UAC to Start Orb to the colors of the panes.

Just Cause 2 uses DX10 only and looks very good, Dirt 2 with DX11 looks stunning.
