LHammonds
I told a co-worker about Minecraft and showed him a video where somebody created the Star Ship Enterprise frame in 1 to 1 ratio. Since then, he has been looking up videos and reading about it. He ended up buying a copy to run on his Mac. He told me about somebody that created a massive 16-bit calculator using or logic...I'm guessing this has to be it. hehehe.
Vindekarr
I made a 40 foot solid gold Space Invader in my realm. If I ever come back to this, I'll make a 200 foot solid gold Space Invader. But yes, it's a huge monument to gaming. Literaly huge.
ub3rman123
Is it possible to replace every block of one type into another type? Like stone to TNT?
Vindekarr
I can see where you're going with that Uber, and I can also say that it's an awesome idea mate. If you find out, tell me, I'd pay to watch that explosion.
Vagrant0
Is it possible to replace every block of one type into another type? Like stone to TNT? :devil:Yes, through some of the map editors... The down side is that volatile changes like that usually render the map unplayable and will crash as soon as the map tries to load. The game also has severe issues handling explosions larger than 5000 TNT blocks.
Vindekarr
Heres an idea then, how about some of the more rare ores? like I dunno, that dark stuff? And maybe sand too, usualy there isnt more than 5000 sand bricks. But anyway, it's a good thought, should be worth the fun of trying it.

LHammonds
Holy moly Batman!!! Clay is more rare than Diamonds or Gold!!! THAT is funny. Wait a sec...if clay is that rare, then it is almost impossible to make a pueblo home...is clay a requirement to make brick? Can you even make a brick home with something that rare? Can you even make a brick home with something that rare?yeah, it's a bug with how a map is generated, even more recent maps have less than 1000 clay unless you do an assload of exploring. But yeah, need clay to make bricks. Probably why you don't see many legit brick structures. It's more common around in oceanic maps, but yeah, you'll need to hop on a boat and survey the coastlines a bit to get any sort of significant quantity at the moment. As for replacing Obsidian... That would generally be a bad idea since this is almost always either near lava, or under water and near lava. Meaning that you get a few thousand explosions all over the map, but practically nothing happens. Edited October 2, 2010 by Vagrant0
ub3rman123
My better idea was to replace all stone with glass. Can you imagine how nice that would look? I tried the boat. It seemed to me like it travels more slowly than just swimming in standing water. Is there some benefit to them?
