Will I get more FPS playing at 1280x720?

It looks horrible on my computer monitor but I play from my TV anyway and I don't really notice a big difference. The TV isn't that great to begin with but that's how I usually play. I haven't monitored my FPS. There are still stutters but I feel that has to do with heavy scripting which was a bad idea. Enhanced Blood Textures ruined my gaming experience when a Master Vampire was attacking Winterhold. I didn't realize all these script heavy mods would cause stutter or lower my fps and it's unfortunate that I can't uninstall them.

Anyway, does 1280x720 give more FPS? I feel it does it some areas but it could be placebo. I could also try testing but my FPS changes depending where I am to begin with. So this is just a general question.

Thank you!! :) :)

On the topic of heavy scripting, you could always try Save Game Script Cleaner to help remove unwanted scripts instances. It won't remove everything, but it works wonders. I will vouch for it. Removing certain mods that would normally cause your character to become a gliding mannequin (animations being removed causes this) or that would leave your MCM menu full of things you no longer use aren't usually a problem anymore once you clean the save with SGSC. As far as lowering your resolution is concerned, playing on a higher resolution will lower your FPS, so playing on a lower resolution will increase your FPS (in theory). You may want to re-evaluate what texture replacements or ENB preset you use though. FPS is impacted more by ENB and high-resolution textures more than anything.

Thank you! I wonder if that script cleaner actually works that well. I've read that once modded scripts are in the game, they are there forever and will eventually lead to a botched save if you don't keep them. :(
