  1. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/377405-porting-content-from-other-games/ I could be wrong here, but I don't think that you can even ask someone if they can port a mod for you, because that's the same as Nexus facilitating the port by allowing it to be collaborated on their site. Just a recommendation, and I'm not an admin of any sort, but I would remove this if you can or something.
  2. Problem solved! Chat room fix! :D For those who need to know, Taylerpf didn't have his .ini files set to "read-only" by right-clicking the .ini file, selecting Properties, checkmarking the "read-only" box, applying the changes and then saving. If you are having similar problems, then simply try this. If this doesn't work, I've heard that re-installing SKSE may help.
  3. Lol That would be epic. I think they should avoid well-known actresses though. The last thing I would want to see is Angelina Jolie as some random cameo appearance in a tavern or something.
  4. Honestly, I think it would need to be a completely new story, but Skyrim is the closest thing so far to an Elder Scrolls game that could be made into a movie. An alternate beginning for the movie, a little dragon here, a little Thane there, and boom... before you know it, Sovngarde is on the big screen and you just watched Skyrim. EDIT: They would likely just call it "Dragonborn" though.
  5. You won't find one that doesn't have some kind of an impact on your FPS rate. I use RealVision ENB (and a heavily-tweaked setup at that) but only because my computer was built for stuff that requires a lot of lifting. EDIT: Check out RealVision and view the system requirements. You didn't say what your specs are, so it's hard to suggest a particular one. The only one that I know anything about is RealVision.
  6. In response to post #20159780. I didn't miss the point. In fact, I completely agree with you, bben46. Perhaps "Compete" wasn't the word that I should have used. For me, Mod Organizer offers the specific features that I am looking for when I mod Skyrim, and it's worth noting that Skyrim is the only game I currently mod. I like NMM, and I wasn't trying to cut it down at all. It excels in its own ways and is a very viable way to download, install and manage mods. I'm grateful for having it and appreciate the amount of hard work and dedication that was necessary in order for NMM to be what it is today. Mod Organizer is just something that I started using a month or so ago, and my girlfriend and I share a computer so we rely heavily on the profiles that it offers. In short, NMM is awesome and I agree that it has its own strengths, weaknesses and level of expertise required for use. I couldn't have said it better myself.
  7. Try these things in this order and see if anything works as intended. If not, then we will try to figure something else out. Try loading a different save and then (while in game) try loading the save that always crashes. See if it will load from within another save like that. Try loading from a previous save (preferably not an autosave) and travel to Windhelm. See if you still crash. Try downloading Save Game Script Cleaner and cleaning the save that crashes. Open the save from within SGSC, select Fix All and then FixScriptInstances and save before exiting SGSC. Try loading the save then. If it doesn't load after cleaning it, try step two again. Load a different save, and then try to load the (cleaned) save that always crashes. If you can get the save to load, you can then save in a new slot and try cleaning it again. Please let me know if you still need help after trying these things.
  8. You may need to edit your .ini files to allocate more space to the first block. I'm not entirely sure judging by what you have shown me. Try checking out the links that I posted and see if you can find anything useful there.
  9. Do what HeyYou said and see if that works. Overclocking is a bit of a task and needs to be done properly. Of course, this may not be the cause, but it's worth a shot.
  10. Download and install FNIS and then run GenerateFNIS_For_Users. That should find and register the appropriate animations. You may also want to defrag if you haven't in a while. That's the one thing that nobody ever recommends around here and it works wonders. EDIT: Judging by how few posts you have on here, I'll assume that you may not be using too many animation mods though, if any. If you aren't using any animation mods at all, and if FNIS doesn't help, then simply verify the integrity of your game cache through Steam.
  11. I don't personally recommend mixing Nexus mods with Steam Workshop mods, but that's simply a personal preference. As far as your crashing goes, you may be running out of VRAM. You should check out tony971's guides. He has three of them. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56894/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57353/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50214/? There may be something in there that will help you isolate what is causing the problem and assist with fixing your CTD issues.
  12. This is what I did... Install the textures that you want installed (SG Texture Renewal, Better Females by Bella, etc..) Install the body conversion of your preference (if you want the BBP effect, then install a BBP-compatible body conversion, for example) Install Realistic Ragdolls and Force Install the skeleton replacer of your preference (if you want the BBP effect, then install a BBP-compatible skeleton replacer, for example) Install the animations of your preference (if you want TBBP animations, then you will need a body conversion and a skeleton replacer that support TBBP animations, for example) Install FNIS and run GenerateFNIS_For_Users with the appropriate boxes checkmarked (most people require the top two boxes to be checked) Make sure that you load a save game periodically and see if the steps listed above were successfully completed. You will need Realistic Ragdolls and Force for your skeleton to function properly, and you will need to run GenerateFNIS_For_Users for your animations to exist within the game. If you have any further questions or need more detailed assistance, you can always message me or continue to post here on this forum. Good luck. EDIT: You will also need clothing that has been weighted to support the type of movement that your body, skeleton and animations are (BBP, TBBP, etc..).
  13. I'm not sure how to make one of these, but it's called a FOMOD installer. I did, however, find this link on this forum page that may be what you are looking for. EDIT: I hope that someone is able to assist you further if this was not what you were looking for.
  14. In response to post #19863889. #19937979, #20038749, #20135559 are all replies on the same post. I love Mod Organizer, but with that being said, I would love to see NMM compete with it on the level that it's currently at by introducing Mod Profiling. As far as MO is concerned, I doubt that your setup is as complicated as mine, and I'm using over 210 esm's/esp's right now. My girlfriend is using 251 at the moment, and the only issue that we have is something that I caused... not MO. It's worth looking into until NMM has Mod Profiling in my opinion.
  15. I would like to take a moment to say a few things here and I genuinely hope that others can relate to this. Firstly, the Nexus has been -and will continue to be- a place that I visit when I want to see the creations of like-minded individuals who share a common interest between one another. This site has grown exponentially over the years and although I wasn't present for its birth, I have been present for the last few years of its growth. It has been cared for and improved upon by countless individuals who want to see it succeed and aid in the development of creativity through modding and file sharing. Secondly, I have never experienced any issues with download speeds at any point in time. I pay for decent internet, I care for my computer and in return, I get decent download speeds from any website, including the Nexus. I can't presume to understand what issues each of you are experiencing, but honestly, I see no problem with how the Nexus is set up right now. Lastly, Dark0ne has taken the time to inform us of his desire to improve this site as much as possible. He has spent far more time and resources than most people would to make this site an exciting experience for all of us, and he has kept us informed of what he is doing since the beginning. I for one would like to thank him and our moderators for all that they are doing for us. With that being said, we should take a moment to appreciate what we have here and do our part to keep things working as smoothly as possible.
