CaptainAlfredsson
Sometimes when I am installing new mods, I encounter this prompt for example: Confirm Overwrite: Data file "Data\mesh/characters/_male/upperbody.nif has already been installed by Roberts Male Body - ROBERTS for New Vegas MAIN FILE' Overwrite with this mod's file? Yes to all / Yes to folder / Yes to mod / Yes / No to all / No to Folder / No to mod / No Now I have had several encounters with this scenario and I've always chosen 'No to all'. Would this be the correct thing to do or am I doing something wrong? I have a feeling that I am not correctly installing the mods right whenever I have this issue and right now, this is happening only with models and texture mods. I'll list what mods I am using (or trying to use): -Breezes New Vegas Males DLC-2,3&4 FIxes-bzNVMalesV1dot0d-bzPreorderFixesV1dot0-bzsyArmorFixesV1dot0-EVE v1.515c Final-NMCs Texture Pack for New Vegas - Large Pack Part 1, 2 & 3-Robert's Male Body (main file)-Wasteland Flora Overhaul (this one isn't working as some plants, buildings and objects are turned black) I need to know what I am doing wrong and would really appreciate help. Thanks.
M48A5
You cannot use two texture replacers that change the same thing. They are exactly what they say. A texture replacer will replace the currently installed textures, unless you answer "No" to the overwrite. But then, why would you install a replacer if you did not want to replace the current texture. You can use more than one texture replacer, as long as they do not change the same textures. A case in point is NMC and Poco Bueno. They both change some of the same textures, but not all the same textures.Body texture replacers, be they male or female, change only the body texture, so you can only use one. Wasteland Flora Overhaul does not change any of the buildings, only the folage (flora) in the game. You have something else causing a problem there. You did not say, but to use NMCs Texture Pack, you must make you game Large Address Aware, or you will have texture and/or crashing problems. CaptainAlfredsson
So which texture mods should i be using then? And what exactly is Large Address Aware?
M48A5
So which texture mods should i be using then? And what exactly is Large Address Aware? You would have to read the mod descriptions and look at the images provided by the mod author and mod users to determine which ones you like. As for Large Address Aware or 4GB Fallout New Vegas, it changes the .exe so that the game can use more than 2GB of RAM. As it is, Fallout 3 and Fallout:New Vegas were both programmed to use only 2GB of RAM. The enabler will make the game use up to 4GB, provided you have that much RAM installed in you computer. You can find it here: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35262
CaptainAlfredsson
Wouldn't the 4GB New Vegas conflict with NVSE?
2much4l1
Wouldn't the 4GB New Vegas conflict with NVSE?I only know the short answer, "No". Some mods overlap in the files they change. You have to know what you want to keep or change from each mod. Say you install in armor mod that changes all the armors in the game, but you don't like the leather armor. You find another armor mod that also changes all the armors in the game, but you only like the leather armor. You install the armor mod with the leather armor you like over the first armor mod. The mod manager will ask if you you to overwrite the the first armor mod with the same file names as the mod with the the leather armor you like. Since you like all the armors in the first armor mod you installed except for the leather armor you would choose no to each same file name until you came to "leather armor" then you would choose yes to overwrite. CaptainAlfredsson
Interesting. I'll try and get everything sorted after work, but I do have another question. Has anyone ever encountered a compass bug with the hud mods? I have MCM, One Hub, Darnified UI and the Unified Hud Project and they all work great except for my compass. The damn thing vanished and u have no clue why. edit: my god I am such a freaking idiot. Turns out I had an older version of Darnified UI and now the most up-to-date one. I'm such an ass.
