Cheer up, you could of lost five years worth of custom mods... Someone broke into my house and stole my computer. Now I'm stuck with a laptop that can't run Blender for more than five minutes without crashing. I REALLY dislike thieves

If you are familiar with the .esp structure, you can also use TESsnip, load the .esp and expand all the branches and find the problem child and remove it as well. It is a very simplistic tool, does not require an install and only presents to you what it sees in the .esp file. It is also a good way to get rid of those items you marked "deleted" which never really get deleted. TES4Edit is much more powerful but it might also be a bit daunting if you are just wanting to delete a record you "know" is causing the problem.

Also, you might want to use something called "SyncBack" (Free) which can be configured to automatically and periodically backup your data folder. There are several LARGE files you can add to the exclusion list so you can just get the files you added...or configure it to just grab .esp files. Depends on how you use it. Automating a backup is much more reliable than having to remember to backup files yourself. Once you get the backup copying the files to a different location, it is easy to copy that backup profile and make a new backup that writes the same files to an external hard drive or external flash stick.
