It's time to invest in PC gaming' - MS

Hopefully they are going to develop an anti piracy method that actually works. They could then license it to other publishers. If they could manage that, then it would help save PC gaming and graphics and game play innovations could return to the PC where it belongs. We would start to see games advancing in leaps and bound rather than stagnate for five to ten years at a time with consoles leading the way.

The picture that comes to my mind is someone putting on MS-logoed body armour, big stompy boots and polishing up the baton. What they should have said is: 'It's time to stamp out the riff-raff and restore order in PC-gaming! Get in line for Halo 6!'

Microsoft is rubbish. They should've stuck to operating systems and that's it.

Currently there is no effective way of combating piracy as pirates will figure out a workaround one way or another. The only real solution would be for all game companies to suddenly discontinue all support for PC games, cancel all their upcoming ones, and move to consoles, since consoles get most of the love nowadays anyway.
