Retribution
Got them removed about 18 hours ago. Last thing I remember saying before the anesthesia put me to sleep was "How long does the anesthesia take to work?", then I was out. Felt terrible when I got home cause the anesthesia had mostly worn off, but then I took some Vicodin and it got better. The bleeding stopped very quickly and abruptly, around 3 hours after surgery. It generally takes quite a bit longer for most people. Taking even 1 pill makes me a bit sleepy, but I can take 2 if I want to (1 or 2 every 4-6 hours). I feel like Doctor House now. Face is swollen up, entire mouth hurts, ears hurt a bit, it hurts to swallow, if I stand up for too long I get lightheaded and nauseous, I'm hungry (I've only had some Ensure, a nutritious chocolate drink that actually tastes pretty good). I'll probably try to eat some actual food today, but it will have to be soft. TL;DR http://i35.tinypic.com/2alpw0.jpg
Povuholo
Yeah it sucks. Why did they put you to sleep completely? When they removed mine they used a local anesthesia and that was enough.

When they removed mine they used a local anesthesia and that was enough.Apparently that's the easiest way to do it and they're starting to exclusively do it that way. Actually, I wish they did it with local anesthesia, as I almost wasn't able to do it with normal anesthesia. I was actually supposed to get it done about a month ago, but when they hooked me up to the EKG, Blood Oxygen level, and Heart Beat monitor and left me in the room alone for about 10 minutes, I got too nervous and asked to be let out, so I had to reschedule. I had to get a prescription for Xanax so I would be able to do it.
Illiad86
Ouch man...:( I haven't had mine pulled yet...and I'm paying for it...one of the back ones is pushing up against my molars pretty bad :( They'd have to put me under to do it too...that crap scares me. I just don't like the idea of being able to see that happen heh...and the noise...ah don't get me started :P Plenty of rest and those Vicodin makes it all better ;) Feel better soon :)
Retribution
Vicodin really doesn't do much. It just makes me forget about the pain rather than not feel it. I could take twice as many pills in accordance with the doctor's instructions, but I would just fall asleep and that's no fun. Thanks for the well wishing everyone. Povuholo
Strange sound, when they finally pulled mine out. You can really hear it get loose. One of my wisdom teeth was kinda hard to pull out, so they drilled it into several pieces first. Afterwards I was given 600 mg of ibuprofen as a painkiller. But yeah it sucks when you have to eat. I ate only very soft things for several days.

katashy
Never had any wisdom teeth out, but I have had 2 molars out for my braces. I guess the pain of having wisdom teeth out is at least 2x worse than molars, since they only gave me an injection to numb the pain... Still hurt though. Anyway, get better soon!
