CobraJM20
I have been on this website for a few years now and Have relished to see my favorite game be turned not just better but into a entirely new experience in its self. I have active over 500 mods and I add more everyday. I have sampled mods from every genre, and catagory and keep those that I like the most. The few hundered races that I can choose from to the greatly enchanced gameply and graphics to simple visual appeal the modding community in general has made in my opinion the best and most memorable game in existence. I just wanted to thank the modders who make this community so great. Those modders that have stuff through thick and thin and in many ways produce mods that fare surpass anything that besthesdia put out. You created a game world of imagination, and kept a game running for 4 years straight. From races mods to texture mods and then some. I want to thank not only the man behind this amazing site, but those that make up the site and make this great game on of legand and may it keep going for many more years. To all of you who have had a part in this website from maybe creating mods to donating thank you all. For your work has made not just a game, not just an experience but a comunity of hundreds. Thank you so much words cannot express my thanks. I am a lifetime member and hope to see this comunity grow more and more. To all of you great modders and gamers alike lets keep this site going and say a word of thanks for those that put out the great content that is The elder scrolls Nexus! Thank you yet again keep it up for this site is one of the great ones and may it never die! Below is my current mod list as of now and I add to it everyday

MadMike710
I have active over 500 mods and I add more everyday. I thought the limit was something like 255?And I know I've hardly contributed to the community with my mods but it's always nice to see a thread like this. :)
LHammonds
I thought the limit was something like 255?And I know I've hardly contributed to the community with my mods but it's always nice to see a thread like this. :)The maximum number of plugins is 254 (255 is Oblivion.esm), so I assumed his 500 count included a LOT of texture replacers and/or merged mods. Tefnacht
Wrong. Well, not completely wrong, but still... Oblivion.ESM is always index 0, not 255. However, index 255 (FFxxxxxx) is reserved for dynamic objects the Oblivion engine creates “on the fly”. Like custom spells, custom enchanted items, items dropped into the gameworld by the player, stuff like that. This leaves index 1 to 254 (both inclusive) for mod files. So yes, you can have a maximum of 254 ESM/ESP files loaded at any given time, but not because Oblivion.ESM is indexed as 255 (FF). Telling people that Oblivion.ESM is indexed as 255 (FF) is dangerous misinformation. Actually, index 255 should be seen as the savegame you load, because that is where all the information about the FFxxxxxx items comes from. No offense intended. I just want to clarify things. And on topic: I also want to put out a general “Thank you” to all the people that “waste” their free time to make Oblivion a better game. To those who write tools that help with modding, like the OBSE crew, the author of TES4Edit, the NifScripts crew and each and every single modder out there. It is YOU who keep this game alive for the rest of us. Never forget that. I humbly thank you.
LHammonds
I was only referring to total count, not position...didn't want to get into actual slot numbers which isn't quite necessary at this point. 254 is total "plugin" count and that is really all that needs to be said. There can be 500 "active" omods but that implies that a maximum of 254 contain plugins and the rest are replacer files such as textures, models, sounds, animation, etc. LHammonds
CobraJM20
I spend a lot of time combining Esps into one larger file so as ot bypass the 255 limit. I just keep all partners in one file etc.
